'dear' can also mean 'expensive'; that's probably what the OP means. in that context, it's probably because they're decent games that maybe are hard to find in some areas.

If you mean expensive, it's probably because those games are being sold in wonderful condition, complete with the original box, game pak, instruction manual, and any brochures that came with it, making them more desirable and collectable than just the game pak on its own. It could also be because of shipping and handling (those always make things more expensive). It could also be because the sellers are greedy.
If you mean "dear" as in "beloved," these games got good reviews and players like them.
The games you brought up were all in the N64's twilight era and can be somewhat hard to find (this is at least true in Mario Party 3's case). That's probably part of why they're expensive.
I also can't find them anywhere in shops I have to buy them from ebay I have bought about 14 since I bought the console 4 weeks ago from ebay for £27 with Mario 64, DK 64, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, WWF Atitude, Ridge Racer 64, Expansion Pack, Power Supply Controller, AV Cable and Controller a pretty good deal I got with decent games aswell.

Off topic, do people in the States not use the term "dear" for expensive? I never knew that! Yes, we say "dear" in Ireland In relation to the post, I'v never tried to buy N64 games from the net. Most expensive game I bout on E-Bay was Probotector for medadrive, 40euro. Was boxed with manual though
In the Uk near Manchester I can only find the rubbish games I can't find any decent games that I want. But i have got alot of good n64 games but I just need Lylat Wars, Smash Bros, and a few others
I live in El Salvador, (latin america if anyone's wondering) and there are dozens of small stores of used video games and accesories. Back in the N64 era there was a lot of people living in the US because of civil war in the 80's, by that time their children left behind were growing up and these people sent tons of toys (and money) to their children, the economy was also booming at the time and EVERYONE had a N64 (playstation became really popular until the PS2 was released) and it was a common thing to see being traded or sold very cheap. In general, video games have always been cheap around here (until this generation of consoles) and you can go to any of these stores and ask for a copy of Goldeneye for a couple of bucks.
EDIT: A console costs around $20 and a well preserved one (manual, original box, etc) will go for no more than 40 bucks. Curious thing: Controllers are hard to find.
@Will: not in casual conversation, no. 'Expensive', 'pricey', 'high-priced', 'costly', and in some places 'spendy', but 'dear', not so much. :3
