I hear people say the Saturn version of Mega Man 8 is far superior. Makes me wonder why for the compilation Capcom opted for the PSX version?
Maybe it was easier to emulate?

In risk of sounding irrelevant: Sonic Gems Collection had Sonic R, from the Saturn. And, from what I've seen and experienced, it doesn't feel like a botched emulation. This is coming from someone who's never had a Saturn, so I'm not sure.
I own the GC version. I am almost at the point where I'm considering buying a GCN controller, opening it, and swapping the buttons (might have to solder) just to have the jump and shoot buttons in their proper places.

Sonic R on Gems Collection is a port of the PC version.
