Lucky you, I have two, I got my GC version of the game when it just came out, and over here games like that are very expensive, it must have been $40. I didn't really like the controls in that version and I ended up buying a used PS2 one at a local flea market for $5, I decided to keep the first one as part of my GC collection.

Wow, that is a really great deal! Only $5 for Megaman Anniversary Collection? I'm just glad I picked up my copy for the Gamecube when I did because most Capcom games end up becoming quite rare. I also have the Megaman X Collection as well. This ended up saving me money anyway since I don't have to download any of the Megaman titles on Virtual Console anymore! Megaman 9 was the only exception but well worth it!
I have the GC version. It seemed best to get it for a Nintendo system since these game originated on it. I have the Megaman X Collection also. So I won't be buying any Mega Man games on VC.

I also have the GC version, although to be honest I wish I hadn't bought it and had just waited for the VC, since I've only gotten around to playing through MM2, and that was before I purchased the Wii. I don't like having to get out the GC controller and the disc now just to play one of these titles; I much prefer the Wii remote sideways with the quick save feature of the VC, and I also find that I will play through a game more quickly when I purchased it individually, while collections like this end up sitting on the shelf. The GC controls they implemented for this collection are also incredibly awkward, and it feels like the jump and shoot buttons should be reversed.
But if none of those things bother you, it's certainly a very good deal as far as the overall cost compared to the VC.
I got the GC version from gamestop about 6 months ago for about 10 dollars, I got mega man x collection for 20 i think on the ps2. I like the x collection better. Maybe cause i suck at mega man and its a tad easier in my book
I got my copy at gamestop used, somewhere over 10 dollars. Great deal, also try looking for Mega Man X Collection, that game is impossible to find. I had to buy my copy on ebay
i got the sonic collection - for £8 so glad i saw that rather then shelling out the full amount for vc versions - i have never really got the hang of sonic

I have both the GCN and PS2 versions. I remember not liking the Shoot/Jump buttons switched around for the GCN version, but beyond Mega Man 1 I got used to it. (Plus MM1 is just hard) I remember taking a Metroid Prime stance to it, since Shoot/Jump is the same way, that made it a little easier to get used to.

I also have it. I'm surprised Nintendo Life hasn't reviewed it since it was such a popular buy during the GameCube days. IMO, it was worth the $20 when I purchased it. No need to buy it for the Virtual Console. Besides, when will Capcom release the other Mega Man games from the Virtual Console?
I have it for PS2. The Gamecube controls made it unplayable for me, my brother has it for Gamecube, and he likes it. I have downloaded Mega Man 1-3 on the VC as well, since those are among my favorite games ever. But since I just bought a NES top loader, I will probably play the original NES versions, with the NES Advantage!
