Which Pokemon game should I start with?

I'd say RBY or wait for HG/SS, but then i'm biased toward the earlier generations because that's what i remember having so much fun playing. :3

Go for Firered or Leafgreen for GBA. It's a great start to an adventure.

I'd listen to Infernape1000, and then get Heart Gold or Soul Silver when they come out.

Gold/Silver/Crystal are your best bet by far (Wait for HG/SS), though Diamond was also pretty good...

Firered or Leafgreen is also a good start though. It's a remake of the the first 2 games that adds many much-needed improvements.

FireRed and LeafGreen are the best ones if you wanna play the series from the first adventure of Red, blue and Yellow, of which these are remakes. The overall best Pokemon games are Gold, Silver and Crystal on the GBC but i suggest you wait for the DS remakes HeartGold and SoulSilver to come out this spring.

If you want to play any of the games from Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald, get Emerald, it is basically the deluxe version.
As for Diamond, Pearl or Platinum go for Platinum.

Only one I have completed, Emerald.
