MML/MM64 is nothing like the DS games... it's an action/adventure type game in a 3-D environment where combat doesn't involve any weird card systems or anything. It's way more fun than the Star Force series IMO.

If you like Treasure I'd go for the Saturn. Check out Guardian Heroes, Silhouette Mirage and Radiant Silvergun. Also it has great games like NiGHTS, Burning Rangers, Fighters Megamix, Panzer Dragoon series among others.

I'm another Saturn fan - arcade quality version of Outrun! Only took about 10 years to reach a home console. Great 2d fighters and shooters... only problem is I suppose, many of the best games never left Japan.
Either SNES or Saturn. There are loads of AAA titles on the SNES that probably won't come to VC (EarthBound comes to mind), but Saturn has some great games (NiGHTS) and it won't come to VC at all. Hell, I might even suggest getting a DreamCast. Lots of great games.
N64 ftw man! SNES would obviously be a close second for me. If you can find them, get any and all RareWare games on N64. You can't go wrong on any of them.

+1 Emulation in Virtual Console is 100% accurate most of the times. And cheaper too.
