KOTOR. Favorite game ever.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Nintendork

Pokemon and Golden Sun easily. I hate the RPG genre as a whole, but those 2 series are some of the best games I've ever played.

That's why you're still a kid.

I guess I'd say:

Kingdom Hearts
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
Final Fantasy 5
Shining Force
Lunar: Silver Story
Lunar Knights
Breath of Fire 2
Ys Book 1
Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis

Turn Based: M&L: Superstar Saga.
Action RPG: Secret of Mana

What category does Shining Force fall under?

I'm also added Chrono Trigger to my list. It just keeps getting better and better the further in I go, instead of getting worse, like most of the RPGs I've played!

Isn't any game when you play as a character a role playing game, and RPG?
So does that mean that Super Mario, say Galaxy is also an RPG? Hmm...

Anyway I guess my fave would be...
Dragon Quest 8: Journey of the Cursed King

call me Dicesuke Inuzuka, Daisuke, Dice, or Dai.

I haven't played a lot of RPG's so some of this stuff might seem like odd choices here. This could possibly change after Christmas, as I will then have Phantasy Star Universe, Final Fantasy VII and Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness

Turn Based: Either FF3 or Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
JRPG: Enchanted Arms
SRPG: Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings
Action RPG: Terranigma. Secret of Mana comes close

I just love how everyone's list is varied, it really puts into perspective how so many people have different tastes when it comes to their games; especially RPGs.

I guess you can say I don't have an absolute favorite RPG but, if I had to choose definitely Final Fantasy VI because it blends plenty of great elements together to form a total package. Though this year I finally got the chance to play through Chrono Trigger for the first time on my DS and was blown away on how fun the game play was; it's great having party members team up for one big attack instead of a "each man his own" plan.

Final Fantasy 3 (6 in Japan). I didn't know I wanted to be an opera singer in a video game until I played it and the dream was born.

Final Fantasy VII and Phantasy Star IV.

Haven't tried any of the Mario RPG's. How are they compared to the standard fantasy/scifi RPG games?
