A little hole in the wall place in my town is where I have gotten a lot of my retro stuff. Dragon Warrior IV, Harvest Moon 64, Secret of Mana, Bomber Man 64 The Second Attack!, Paper Mario, and Boogerman SNES version are some of the highlights. I have purchased a Dreamcast, Gameboy Color, NES, SNES, and a N64 there also.

I went NYC Comic-Con last year and there was this awesome stand that was covered in old game cartridges from NES, SNES, GB, SG, N64 and even some modern games that are exclusive to Japan. I didnt buy anything though. but it was still cool.

Let me give you some background. I live in a small town and finds are few and far between. I could go six or seven trips to the thrift store without finding anything. It can become pretty frustrating and make you not even want to go. I had a few minutes to spare on my way home from work so I decided to stop. I walked in and hit the usual spots, the game counter, CD rack, then off to electronics. I was not surprised to see the usual spread of printers, vcrs, stereo equipment, and tube tvs. As I looked through the items I saw a box with some wii guitars and a drum kit. I thought I would at least dig through the box to see if there were any hidden treasures. As I dug through the box to find nothing I heard a voice say, "you like video games? Want kind are you looking for?" I said, "Nintendo." He said, "we have a bunch of the old nintendo games in the back." I followed him into the back (Employees Only) to find the mother load. He brought me a box and said, "fill it up and I'll give you a price." Never again will I talk myself out of taking a quick peak because you never know what you are going to find.

I go to the local flea market every weekend and have found some pretty good stuff. My favorite place to find retro games is Craigslist. Just last night I made a deal of a lifetime. I bought Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Zelda: Majoras Mask and wait for it.............Clay Fighter Sculptors Cut all for $50!!!!!! No BS

That's a very nice deal for N64 games. Also, our signatures are eerily similar. How did this happen? Lol

Some of these Retro videogame shops are a total joke. Checked out one a couple of days ago, and there weren't any price tags on any of the games or consoles. I asked the guy(who seemed like he knew nothing about videogames) how much he wanted for Mega man 8 and he said," $45....... Pure Insanity. I can get MM8 on eBay for $12 including shipping. Battlestoads was also doubled in price and he wanted $130 for an Atari 2600. Ridiculous.

There's a local place in my city that has been in business since I was a fetus. This place is called The Collector's Lair and they have everything from comics, to old video games, video games systems, controllers, movies, cards, action figures - if it's something cool and fun, THIS PLACE HAS IT!

The last time I went there I got this game.

You got a snoop dogg cd and a diet mountain dew?!?!?!?!? AWESOME!

The box that's sitting there is the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City boxset soundtrack. Oh yeah, that's Snoop Lion, fah-shizzle! xD

I agree. I hate this one flea market merchant in my town, charges 10 dollars for a copy of Zelda for the NES. That's not a bargain , that's an ebay price. :/

my neighborhood is having a huge house to house garage sale this saturday.
one day im going to build my own country made out of stadium events carts.
i wonder how many people in this neighborhood know game prices.
