I look on eBay sometimes, or I check out this great local store called Jay St. Video Games. They carry retro games and charge less than the Wii Shop Channel does.

I used to go to Play N Trade until the local one closed.

Ok, with all this talk about Play N' Trade, I might have to make a 2 hr drive to my closest location.

Just updated the topic, What's your greatest find? Can't speak for myself but my brother in law found a fully functioning Vectrex unit in a dumpster. Those can be worth around 3k.

Most of my stuff comes from Ebay so I don't have many "great finds." The odds of a great find are getting less and less. My best find though was probably buying a Super Metroid cart for $5 from a dad selling some of his son's old games.

Ebay, Play N Trade and a local game store called Worlds Game Store. There aren't many game stores around were I live despite the fact I live in a fairly large city. The best finds would from each place would go like this, a Neo Geo Pocket Color with Sonic Pocket Adventure for $30 off of Ebay, a yellow Gameboy Color for $15 from Play N Trade (I don't go there that often), 3 Game Gear games for $20 from Worlds Game Store.

Thank you SNK for making the Neo Geo Pocket Color, because it is awesome

Got both Ace Combat 4 and Super Smash bros at the same garage sale for $5 each.

I got introduced to Ace Combat (which I now love), and reintroduced to a classic.

Woa! Now that's just awesome. Is that the same Popeye in Arcade form that was also released on the NES? I heard Miyamoto had something to do with that one, pretty neat! B-)

As for my favorite place to dig for retro toobular treasures, eBayyyyy. An ultra Boring & Generic answer indeed, but it's just so easy to find what i need and it's one click away bud! But in no way does it touch the fun and magic of actually finding a hidden treasure for cheap in the midst of a bunch of crappy games covered in 'Dust bunny' poop for cheapy' at a flea market and what have you! :)

The only Play 'n Trade I went to near me was pretty terrible for SNES game, almost nothing except a ton of sports games.

I heard some GameStops are selling retro games now, too bad the one nearest me isn't one of them. :P

I got FFVI (or FFIII as it says on the cover/title screen) in its original SNES box. No manual but hey, it was only $30.

more or less. very simplified gameplay of course because it's an LCD game. I'd call it "based on"
