I have a question. Think about it, we are at the top of video game consoles right now and heres my question, whats next? I mean we have games that look like real life, online games, downloadable content and I wonder whats next. Virtual reality? PSSHT, yeah right, if they try virtual reality that will suck, I mean remember Virtual Boy? That is if they take effort into it, but what if we can actually travel into the game? I think the new generation will just be updated versions of consoles we already have.

Talk about what you think will be in the new generation

Ya they will just upgrade all there systems adding little things here and there like better graphics and stuff.
I think it will be awhile till we see anything really "new" like the wii was.

I think this topic is too early yet.

I will be shocked if we see a next generation system from Nintendo, or Microsoft before 2012 at least. The only way a new next generation console gets release before than is Sony deciding to cut its losses with the ps 3 and I think there is a 50% chance of that.

If that happens, Sony might offer something new in terms of controllers. I don't see nothing else before 2012.

I think graphics will not a big for the next generation of game consoles except for Nintendo. Nintendo is less powerful than the 360 and the ps 3. and is caused by that fact besides have the system in hd.

I think there could be a new format for the Next generation of systems by 1 of the 3 companies depending on plans on releasing a new system. I am guessing one of the companies could be waiting for a next generation system around 2013 to 2017 range. I'll be shocked if their will not be a new video format for games or movies at that time.

The only other thing I could think of is all games for one of the next generation game consoles not found in stores. You have to download the new games instead. That means gamestop and other stores that sell video games will not be pleased with that company.

It might be 5-10 years before Nintendo announces any new consoles. This topic is too early, reactivate it in 5 years!

JMHO, but you might be waiting a while. The DSi has twice the processing power and 4x the RAM of the DS. Within the next 12 months or so, we will probably start seeing DSi-exclusive games that take advantage of that extra power. In other words, the DSi is not a "stopgap" and is going to be here for a while...you likely won't see a "true successor" or whatever for several more years.

It is more & more evendent the DSi has the excact same processor as the previous DS's & as far as the ammount of RAM the DSi only has 16MB not 32 so its only have twice the RAM not 4 times .

Theres nothing about the DSi that needs a farster processor .
If there are digital cameras that can use a single 40MHZ processor & even use some basic colour filters Im pretty sure that the DSi's main processor can do all of that plus a touch more with its 67MHZ main processor & 33MHZ secondary processor the same 2 processors as in the DS Lite/Phat .

"It is more and more evident"? How so exactly?

You've been corrected on these points several times now, yet you continue to ignore those corrections and continue to assert your own claimed hardware specs. Where is your supposed information coming from? Here are my links:

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2338736,00.asp - Notes the DSi has a 133MHz processor (compared to DS/DSLite 67 MHz)
http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/dsi/2009/03/17/nintendo-dsi-re... - Notes the DSi has 16MB of RAM (as you correctly note) but....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_DS
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_DS_Lite - The DS/DSLite only have 4MB, not 8MB...so it is quadruple, not double.

If you plan to continue to spout your claimed specs, you would do well to back them up with sources. The DSi is more powerful and when DSi exclusive games eventually come out, they will make use of the extra power.
