I picked up Killer 7 and Paper Mario Thousand Year Door today. All of the other titles I wanted didn't have either the box art or the instructions.

If you want to try a movie-based title, then you should try Spider-Man. It's really good.

Sonic Mega Collection....I got that game for $4.
Just one of the games in the collection is $8.(on the virtual console)

Actually, i would recommend Sonic Gems collection over that. It is truly amazing.

I already have Sonic Mega Collection, and I want Sonic Gem Collection, but Gamestop charges $17 for it!!!

I'm doing my best at trying to get good deals on most of these titles, but Gamecube games (at least the popular ones) still sell for a lot of money.
I also HATE the fact that Gamestop puts stickers directly on the box art. Removing them either damages the box art, or leaves sticky residue all over. I actually mentioned this to an employee there today, and he said that they recently received a national memo stating they can no longer do this on incoming used games (all systems), because they received so many complaints. Now they are going to put the prices only on the front cover, and on the outside of the plastic. YES! I've passed over so many damn games because of this, and now I won't have to any longer.

@nintendonerd: we sound like we share some similar gaming tastes (although the lack of love for turn-based RPGs is throwing me off), so i'll be interested to hear your thoughts on Killer7. it's another highly lauded game i found no enjoyment in and shut off relatively quickly. i've been meaning to pick it back up, as it probably just takes some getting into, but i just had a very negative reaction. so let me know what you think.

also, yeah, i agree that i hate what they do with the stickers, and i hate the prices. i also think if they don't have the booklet or the art, they ought to be cheaper. but they're not, unfortunately. to help, if you have any MUST-HAVE titles that you just can't find with a cover, try this: http://www.thecoverproject.net/ they have covers for a huge variety of games, and if you have access to a high quality printer, none will be the wiser.

Bro2dragons,
Well if you makes you feel any better, I picked up Paper Mario because of your comments, and I'm giving it a try. I haven't played a turn based RPG since Final Fantasy 1 (seriously. lol), this playing Paper Mario is going to be something different for me.

I doubt I will play Killer 7 for a while, since I have A LOT of games to beat before hand.

I'm glad to hear they won't be putting stickers on box art anymore either, I can only wish however that they would lower their insane prices on certain titles.

Thanks for the tip on the box art site, but I have a slight (alright maybe more than slight. lol) case of OCD when it comes to collecting. The games need to be complete and in very good condition. I couldn't bring myself to not have everything original. Thanks anyway thought, and I'm sure a lot of other people would benefit from it.

Here are a few.
Soul Calibur 2 if you are into fighting games or sword fighting.

Kirby Air ride- One of my all time favorite game. Many different ways to play too (racing, top-down view racing, and roaming around in a huge city)

Mario Kart Double Dash One of my favorite multiplayer games

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle- The best 3D sonic game with one of the best Sonic Soundtracks.

SSX3- my favorite snowboarding game of all time. Great music selection, character customization, and many different modes of play!

Hope this helps

well good, i imagine you'll enjoy Paper Mario. and if FF is the only turn-based RPG you've played, man, you're missing out. that one's so old-school, it's really not for everybody. i'd recommend trying something either after they added the ATB system (FFIV on VC/GBA/DS or FFVI on GBA/DS/soon to be VC would be good ones) or something like Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, that's turn-based, but just as much strategy as RPG.

yeah, i understand about the covers thing. i'd be that way, too, except i just care more about having the game than having it in perfect condition and since NOBODY IN THE WORLD seems to keep their game cases anymore (seriously, what the heck happens to them all???) i usually can't find the ones i want with covers and all intact.

My favorite GC game in DK Jungle Beat. If you've got the bongos, definitely get that.

Check out my classy comics.

@bro2dragons:
Yes, you can play with just the regular GameCube controller... but the game really doesn't feel the same that way. If you don't have the Bongo controllers (and aren't interested in finding some) then you are better off getting the New Play Control version for Wii.

Veiwtiful Joe is an awesome game as is F-Zero GX,in fact most of the ones you listed are all pretty good you won't go far wrong with any of em'. Depends what your in the mood for playing I suppose. I'd steer clear of Disney sports football though.

What's this bit for again?

Aenaida

From what I remember, the Lost Kingdoms games were pretty fun, although I haven't played them in years so I don't know how well they have aged.

I feel my mind dissolving around...

those are good choices, i'd have to say, along with Luigi, to go with your mood. top of that list is Paper Mario, F-Zero, and Battalian Wars. Metroid is better on the Wii, and Megaman Anniversary is better than Megaman X.

I haven't play much GCN, but 2 games i loved were Beyond Good and Evil which i saw on your list and Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. A friend told me about Eternal Darkness and i loved it, and at assorted videogame websites when i would search for that it often said in the other game you might enjoy section Beyond Good and Evil, I don't really see the similiarty but i did love both games.

Darn you Nintendo, my backlog is already out of control and you are just making it worse with these new game announcements!!!!

Also if you liked the Zelda series you might want to look up the Collector's Edition which has the original Legend of Zelda, Zelda 2, Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time.
