Ever heard of Sonic Adventure 2 or Vectorman 2 (plus neither of them are obscure, and the Sonic Adventures aren't exactly retro being just one generation out of date)? Although, you are correct that a Sonic Adventure 3 or a Vectorman 3 would be nice.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

I don't think Sonic Adventure is obscure, though :/
I'd like to see a new Vectorman as well, but it'd have to be like the first two, and not some crappy 3D thing (like it was going to be ) Also, a new Toki: Going Ape Spit. That game was awesome. As it happens, though, the game is in fact being remade for XBLA, so that's cool.
Another one would be Haunting: Starring Polterguy. I loved that game, and I'd love a remake or a sequel or something.
The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.
