I'd agree if that version hadn't had such atrocious music. The music is 99% of the reason I liked the super famicom version so much Great game though.
I gotta say that Metroid: Zero Mission was one of my favorite games for the system. Really enjoyed that one. Also loved Aria of Sorrow when it came out.

lol ewwww, I had a GameGear. Worst hand held I've ever owned.
Shun the nonbeliever. SHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.
Seriously, basically missed out on this gen., unfortunately. I have some games lying around but nothing that can play them atm. I'm keeping my fingers crossed Minish Cap, Metroid Fusion, Zero Mission, Wario Land 4, Sonic Advance, etc. hit the 3DS shop eventually.

The music's even better in the PSX version, while having much better gameplay than the SNES version, that's not as slow as the GBA version. It also looks better than both versions while having many of the extras from the GBA version. That's why it's my favorite version. With that said, I hope we get Tales of Phantasia X someday. It's the current definitive version.
Thats pretty tough. I loved the first 2 pokemon games for it. Super mario bros 2 had fun multiplayer, & a link to the past still has good replay value.
It would either have to be; Final fantasy tactics advance with it's fun battle system, or Metroid Fusion for it's atmosphere.
My personal favorite is Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. It's such an amazing adventure, and holds a special place in my heart. I also loved Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones because it wasn't too overly difficult and every character was unique and likeable. Final Fantasy VI Advance is another amazing game, but I'd rather consider it an SNES title since its just merely a remake.
I only picked one up this January, so I've yet to try Minish Cap or Superstar Saga which are probably top of my list right now but from what I've played: loved the first 3 Super Mario Advances. The first two I already had off Wii virtual console in their original versions and I think these versions are greatly improved. Yoshi's Island was new to me but, yeah, quality game and a shocking sin that Ninetndo won't V.C. it, especially as it was such an influence on Wii Super Mario Bros.
Also love Link to the Past and the original Zelda game too (never played it before, very handy to have it for handheld).
Got a few games with the GBA that I had to get rid off: some dreary Jungle Book game, a lame Shrek super-slam game, a ridiculously easy Lion, Witch & Wardrobe game. Was also very dissapointed with with Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 which came highly recommended and did nothing for me. Also ended up with a Bomberman game that just bored me. can't remember which one, sure it would have been fun for multiplayer but no-one else I know has a GBA so got rid of it.
