I remember when I was a kid--maybe around 5--I played this weird (American) football game for the SNES, but it might have been another system, I don't know. I just know it was around the time the SNES came out. This game was set in the future, and I think the football players were like monsters and robots or something. What sticks in my mind is when the coach said "the hottest places in h-e double hockey sticks are reserved for those who can't play football" because I didn't know what "h-e-double hockey sticks" meant.
Do you know what this game is? I've been trying to think of what it was for a long time. I really liked it a lot.
But seriously, I know what game you're talking about. IGN was just talking about it on their last podcast...can't think of the title, though. It's supposed to be really good.

Really? since I'd never heard of it pretty much since I played it, I assumed it was one of those games no one knew about that I liked. That seems to happen a lot.
Mutant League Football. i only know this because i wish i'd played it. i love football, but i've always had this idea for a football game with basically superheroes, where the rules are stretched, and you can use all your powers while playing. not really what this game was, but it's what got me thinking of that idea.
