I found this game from flea market. After I googled it I couldn't find it anywhere. So, do any of you guys now what is this game? I only found pokemon ruby version for gameboy advanced not for original gameboy.
It looks legit, got made in japan back of the fame and everything seems to be lik normal gb games.. Here isthe picture https://imgur.com/a/Zyyy3

@TeddySmall No idea, but it's not an official game. It's a fake. Maybe it's a ROM hack?

@Octane Hmm, I dont know. It got all details like original games for gb and the pokemon sticker looks like it is factory made.

@TeddySmall No, it's definitely fake, that's for sure. I just don't know what's on the cartridge, could be nothing, maybe a ROM hack, or a completely different game.

Pokemon Ruby was a game made for the Game Boy Advance, and it looks like this:

The only Pokemon games that were released on the GameBoy are Pokemon Red, Blue, Green (Japan only), Yellow, Gold and Silver.

@Octane okay, huge thanks. Just wondering who would put that much effort to fake. Lol. I will try the game when I get game boy.

@TeddySmall It's probably one of the most counterfeited games due to its popularity. There are dozens, if not hundreds of different 'fake' Pokemon games in existence. They were likely produced cheaply in mass and sold as 'official' Pokemon games.

It's this:

@chardir I'm interested now. I want to raise a Lyu Mao Chong and win the victories too.

@TeddySmall I just found it by googling. The cart in the video looks like exactly the cart you have, so yeah, it's GBC.

@chardir Can you link the page too, I suck at googling I think. Lol.

Yep, that's a bona fide bootleg. As mentioned above, there are a ton of Pokemon bootlegs and fan versions/ROMs floating around from both modern times and back in the day.

Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)

@TeddySmall Asia has a huge market for counterfeit games. Thats why it's not a good idea to buy games coming form that region of the world on eBay or similar sites. When it comes to flea markets too some sellers look to cash in on the retro games crazy and will go to sites like AliExpress buy counterfeit games in bulk and then sell them online or at flea markets. I know the flea market near where I live has a guy that does that which I avoid.

Was expecting to see one of those bootleg games that you see on JonTron's video.

Back before the internet was the monster it is today, people made all sorts of rip-off games to sell. I would be legit curious to see if the game plays and what it is like.

One of the fake "Pokemon Ruby" GBC games I have seen is a bootleg Super Robot Wars-like game that everytime I mention it makes we wonder why Nintendo has yet to call Banpresto to make that happen legitimately. Seems like two things that could go well together, unless they're afraid Japanese nerds (and a relatively smaller number of western nerds) would just explode with nerd-gasms.
