I guess the top two most impactful games on me have been Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy VII. They expanded my conception of what video games could be so far!

Ape Escape was a solid game. What didn't you like about it?

1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl- memories of playing with family and friends, playing through the Subspace Emissary and seeing the awesome cutscenes for the first time, getting me interested in the Kirby series, and getting me interested in the Kid Icarus series and making Pit one of my favorite Nintendo characters
2. Donkey Kong Country- possibly my first video game, memories of playing with family, and incredible music and characters
3. WarioWare, Inc. Mega Microgames- memories of playing the bizarre and cool microgames during the year of its release and during a summer vacation and fun characters like Kat and Ana, Mona, and 9-Volt
4. Kid Icarus Uprising- getting to play a Kid Icarus sequel I wanted since Brawl, discovering that the story was more epic than I thought, and seeing many of my ideas for a Kid Icarus sequel being realized (voice-acting, epic boss fights, ground and flying stages, Hades as the main villain)

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 takes me right back to my childhood and saturday mornings spent playing in the living room. Sonic introduced me to the joy of gaming. Then, after years of playing Mega Drive games, Super Mario 64 was a revelation. The leap from 2D to 3D was incredible and opened up a whole new world of possibilities. Then came Ocarina of Time and entering Hyrule Field for the first time...

On a more personal level the one game that has had the biggest impact on me, however, would have to be Final Fantasy X.

From what I've gathered from him hating on that game for all these years...he hates it because it was made by Sony.

It's not even that bad. There are plenty of games that are worse than Sonic '06.

Okami and Solatorobo- both games that blew me away in the short time it took me to beat them.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Time- it took me two years of on and off play to beat this game. Even after completeing all the aftergame events I am still playing

HaHa. It's real!

I remember looking at overhead cables, after lots of Mario Sunshine, and thinking....I could get up on those.

And looking over my shoulder, after hearing a moto x engine, expecting to see Chainsaw Ganando

Not even. There are games that are absolutely awful no one here has probably heard of.

(I dislike popular opinion.)

I was talking from experience. At least Sonic '06 was playable. The Super Man games...not so much.

1. Pokémon (series)
The entire series has dominated most of my childhood and still controlling most of my gaming. I got hardcore into the TCG, anime, and games when they first came out. I missed GSC (didn't use Internet back then, and didn't subscribe to NP) so the next games I got were Ruby and Sapphire. Eventually went back and got GSC many years later. Pretty positive that I've played every Pokémon game there is, with the exception of the Wii and DS entries. I never finished Diamond and Pearl or Black and White.

Phoenix Wright (series)
Again, the whole series here. Really got a huge reaction from the first three games. Apollo and Ace Attorney Investigations, not so much. The first three games, AA, JFA, and T&T are amongst my favorite games ever. They made me laugh, they made me cry, and they down right pissed me off. Everything a good series should do. :D

Call of Duty 4
I never owned an Xbox before this, and CoD4 was my first game. And I got addicted fast. I just had my PS2 and Wii at the time, but my friend talked me into getting an Xbox 360, saying how amazing it was, blah blah blah. He was right. Easily one of my favorite video game consoles... so many good memories playing the Call of Duty and Left 4 Dead games.

There's more... but these are the major ones, really.

Pokemon Yellow, as it was my first foray into gaming. After that, it's Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, since I got the combo of that game and an N64 for a birthday. I honestly don't think I even asked for a specific game, because I had no clue at that point still. I just knew I wanted an N64 since all my friends had one and I was craving more than just Pokemon. That system pretty much opened the flood gates to my love of gaming. But I poured hours into Episode 1 Racer.
