Neutopia? That's 8-bit. Technically speaking, the TG-16 was never actually a 16-bit machine, it just used two 8-bit processors in conjuction and called it 16-bit(cuz 8+8=16, rt? :P)

Ah, so NEC used the same standards as Atari.
I'm not convinced, it sure looks and sounds like a 16-bit machine (whereas the Jaguar clearly did NOT look like a 64-bit machine), I'm gonna look this up.

Edit:
The TurboGrafx-16 featured a 16-bit custom video color encoder chip, 16-bit video display controller, and an 8-bit CPU with an integrated custom programmable sound generator.
Ah, that's why it looks and sounds as good or better than the other 16-bit machines.
So 16-bit didn't mean dual-8-bit CPU, it just meant 16-bit GPU.

Guys. You know how in Zelda 2 there is this infamous quote: "I Am Error"?
Well, the meme's getting old, and Error is that person's name, it's not a mistranslated quote. That's all I felt like saying. :(

Hey all,
Long time reader, first time poster! lol

I just finished Kid Icarus last night. I found it pretty hard.

Anyway, once I finished it I happened across a video review, and learnt there were power-up like a crystal forcefield, and long arrows. Furthermore, you could free other angels and stuff. I had absolutely no idea!

It looks like it would be a fair bit easier with all that kind of stuff. I thought only feathers and health worked, because they happened automatically when you bought them.

Ah well... might have to try blast through it again!!!

Currently playing: Viewtiful Joe, Street Fighter II, and eagerly awaiting NSMB:WII

@slapshot82 Haha hey dude, the beginning was so so unbelievably ridiculous hard, but after the first world I found it got tonnes easier. The bosses were fairly easy as well. When I beat the 2nd boss though the lava changed colour to the colour of the health pools so I jumped in and by the time I realised that my health was getting sucked away i was dead. That was frustrating!

That said, the game was so addictive that I always felt it was wanting me to have another crack.

Won a top-loading NES w/2 dogbones, Mario 1,2,3, and Tetris for $80 shipped last night...so next week I'll be playing the games the way they are meant to be played :) Until then, I'll probably run through Contra again via the PC.

Final Fantasy and Super Mario Bros.

The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Super Mario Bros., StarTropics, and I'm hoping to find some more to play that'll coincide with Halloween.
