Topic: Water Temple

Someone wrote on the Nintendo Wiki that it's possible in the Water Temple to render it impossible to finish, thus forcing you to restart the game. Is this true?

Really? I've never heard of that. That would sure suck, though. I thought Nintendo was more careful with level design than that...

@jpfan: How'd you get stuck? I'd like to be forewarned because the game is too hard to play through again.

You cannot get stuck in the Water Temple it's not possible. It's the hardest temple in the game, but nothing you do wrong can possibly cause you to be stuck forever. The game is designed to only be able to open doors in a certain number of ways; there's no way you can mess up the order.

It's a pretty tough temple on which I spent several hours to complete the first time around. But I don't know if you can get stuck.

Perhaps when you use Farores Wind, which you should, but I don't think so.

I don't think so, I have had to leave the temple and come back in, but not restart the game (and there probably would have been a way to solve things without leaving the temple, it was just quicker).

There is one block you need to do early in the temple, or it will make your life miserable later, but if you figure out what it is you can go back to fix it. It's just sort of a pain to find.

It's not possible to break the temple as suggested. I thought I had broken it once, but I just spent a few hours getting to know it inside out and eventually reset the dungeon so as to start again.

Thanks guys. I read that if you don't unlock the doors in the right order, you get stuck. Basically, you get a key from room A to use on room B or C. However, if you unlock room B, there's no key in it for room C.

@StarFox: I thought I'd done that with Oracle of Seasons once, but it just turned out I'd missed a staircase that lead to a room where I could earn another key. Nintendo's too smart to make those kinds of mistakes. You should never worry about whether or not you're supposed to use a key on a door, because there's always a way to get another if you need it.

I got lost once and it took a LOOONG time to fix it.

I think in Oracle of Ages there is a temple that you can screw up.
