So today I realized my N64 collection is really small. I only have 6 games for it, 5 of which are Rare(company) games and 1080 Snowboarding(piece of ****). Anyway, should I get a WWF game (for the n64) for $4?
It seems overpriced as a wouldn't even pay a $1 for it, but as I said, my n64 collection is really dry in terms of quality.

@Tasuki
If I'm correct, it was WWF Attitude.

@WaveBoy, I bet you received a nice chunk of change for those Ghostbuster action figures, didn't you? Man, that picture takes me back to the early 90's. I wish I still had my complete collections of Thundercats, Heman & the Masters of the Universe and G.I. Joe action figures. I bet those would be worth some loot right about now. I wonder how much my GlowWorms and Pound Puppies would've been worth these days too.

Yeah I say its worth it. Of course WWF No Mercy was the best WWF game on the N64 but Attitude comes in a close second.

My best catch at a thrift store was about two years ago at a Goodwill in my town. They had a copy of Super Mario Bros 3, in the original box with the manual, all in near-mint condition, no price on it. So I take it to the counter, the woman goes "Uh, what is it?".
I say "It's an old video game. From like, 1990."
She goes "Oh, alright. $2 is fine."
Incredible. I've been so tempted to sell it on eBay, but I kind of like it in my collection.
Also, just three weeks ago I spied a box of NES games at a Salvation Army store, and they only wanted $1 for each. Don't they know the hock shops still sell them for $10-$15?
I suppose I've been lucky to find some good deals.

Truthfully I dont know where Goodwill comes up with their prices really. I know they have a set price for things I just dont know how they come up with it. For example at my Goodwill all video games are $3 it doesnt matter if its an Xbox 360 game or a ultra rare NES game they are all 3 bucks. But they just dont do that with video games they do that with all their stuff. At least once a week this guy comes in and looks at jewelery and when he does he pulls out an eyepiece and carefully looks over what he is thinking of buying. I have come to the conclusion that he buys it cheap at Goodwill and than turns around and sells it for a price much closer to its total worth.

Lately my Goodwill has raised most of their prices. They were threatening to close that location, the city petitioned them to stay open, now this is the price we pay.

Anyway, it seems now that all their NES games are $5.99. I try to keep an eye out for games that are worth more than that to resell on eBay, but I'm also trying to add to my own collection, which is kind of low right now.

The worst are some of those dirty busted down greasy pawn shops that usually sell old video games with shredded cover art on the cart.
I don't care how cheap i can score the cart, if the picture on it' isshredded, dirty & uncleanable than it's a no go for this dudeskie.

Then again, if Little Samson reared his head down in PawnShop Land, and the cover art had a combination of bird poop and the nasty shreddies I'd still nab it if the price is right just to play it, but i wouldn't keep it in my colletion considering the sucky condition.

Agreed, I don't want a a busted up label, manual or box, no matter how cheap it is unless the game has some serious value. I don't care if a copy of Little Samson had anthrax on it though, I would still keep that sucker in my collection.

I have a friend online that scored a copy of the 25th anniversary edition of Super Mario Allstars a while ago - for only $20 at a pawn shop. Man, I wish I'd found that one.

But, garage sale season is about to happen in my neighbourhood, so I'll be searching high and low for games people don't mind parting with.

My friend got a really good conditioned NES at Goodwill for $30. Why can't I get this lucky?

@CerealKiller528 Try pawn shops. The one by my house is very flexible with their prices; I got Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World for $8.
