Fourth (SNES/Genesis)- consistently great games Fifth (N64/Playstation/Saturn)- the rise of 3D, but it took awhile to work the kinks out Third (NES/Master System)- the revival period, which despite saving video games still went unsettled in terms of quality Seventh (PS3/360/Wii)- the Wii will hopefully revive video games from monotony Sixth (GameCube/PS2/Xbox)- major decline after the innovation wars of the 1990s Second (Atari/ColecoVision/Intellivision)- quantity over quality due to high demand First (Odyssey/Telstar/Pong)- way too primitive

I hate to be a ripoff artist, but I'm going to go with everything StarFox said, but swap the positions of the First and Second console generations. To me, the Second generation was the worst just because it had the Video Game Crash of 1983. The First generation, despite being primitive, gets brownie points for starting video games in the first place.
I've only been through the past 2 in my lifetime. I like this one better, but that's just me. The SNES generation seems pretty awesome, but I can't really judge properly.
"Oooh, yes I said it! I said it! I said it 'cause I caaan!" My Backloggery
I can't really judge this properly, given that I have only lived two generations properly so far. However, I like this one better than the previous one.

I only am going to do mine by Nintendo Standards 1/Tie)SNES, Wii (The Wii still has ways to go so it will over come the SNES eventually) 2)Cube 3)64 4)NES 4)Arcade

Nintendo Life Fantasy Football Team: The Propaniacs
5) Gamecube - The worst, but still had some great games for it. It just wasn't as successful 4) N64 - Still a great generation, and my personal favorite, but not that historical 3) SNES - HAd some great graphics and sound. The games were fantastic though. 2) Wii - For not only having great games, but allowing people to play games from all 5 generations. 1) NES - for giving us so many great series, and games
FF6: Release year- 1994 Kefka's birthday - November 9th So.... my life is practically mirroring Kefka? Cool.
Best: The PS2 generation Worst: The 32/64 bit generation (whose only real lasting legacy is introducing the predecessor to the greatest console ever made)
My list and reasons: 1) n64/ps1 era, those were the days when games actually took longer than a week to beat (not sure if it was me or the games back then lol) 2) gc/ps2/xbox era, this is the era where games really meant something and lasted you for weeks and never got old after beating them. 3)snes/watever else was around (not really sure), basically the days when the world started getting into gaming (like the majority of it at least) 4)nes/watever else (im not too good with what systems were around at various times lol), basically the era that started many of the great series of games we have now 5)current era (wii,360,ps3), games are wayy to short and the majority seem to be clones of other games, plus this whole get up and play crap.
