The Destroy All Humans series is kind of forgotten it seems and I never really knew of people talking about it back in the day even though I think one of them got a greatest hits box. That was such a fun game even just to waste time in and have an alien attack on a city.

The Growlanser series... It's a really a good srpg series, I believe it might be a spiritual successor to the Langrisser games.
Suikoden III and V: III may have a better story, but I like V's gameplay and area improvements. More people should play the series, it's too bad we'll never get a new one from Konami...
Disgaea and the other Nippon Ichi Games: The stories are really wacky and hilarious, I love it.
Valkyrie Profile 2: 2D RPG, I'm not too far into it right now.
Outrun 2006: Unlike other reboots of 80's and 90's arcade classics, this one translates perfectly.
I second Odin Sphere.

Klonao 2: Luntena veil. It's pretty much forgotten by the public.

Some random dude on Nintendo Life.
Toriel left for a while, so Freaky Fred took over her place!
Not changing this part of the signature until Nintendo announces Super Mario Sunshine 2.

It was hardly sold to the public, so that's no surprise. It can be very hard to find if you want it.

^Really? Because I saw it a lot in my area, and 3 different retro stores still have it, last I checked. Pretty good prices, too.

Still a good game that even Klonoa fans tend to forget to talk about.

Transformers - An open-world Transformers where you could play as Optimus Prime, Ratchet, or Hotshot. There was a lot of customization with the weapons. It was a little too hard at moments, but the game was a lot of fun. I played so much when I was younger. I mean a lot. I think I even 100% it.

I'll add that it was also one of the most visually impressive game on the system. This could easily pass for an early PS3 game. Check out that draw distance.

Anyway, I know it's a super well-known game, but I want to give a quick mention to Spider-Man 2 for having the best webswinging (or things of that nature like grapple hooks and zip lines and whatnot) to date. Decade old licensed game, still hasn't been improved upon. The physics, speed, feel, etc were all dead on.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

They may have produced more in the US. I've only seen it in one retro store, it was sold at new price and it wasn't even in mint condition.

Haha, that actually does look better than the first Transformers game on the PS3.

The first two Shadow Hearts games!

The first was savagely reviewed, perhaps because it released near Final Fantasy X, which felt much more modern and was very polished. I suspect that as a result, most people simply ignored it, though it has since become something of a cult game. Shadow Hearts is a little rough round the edges and does look dated, but the battle system is fairly interesting and the story and mythology is good. The real reason I recommend the first one is because of its direct sequel, Shadow Hearts: Covenant.

Shadow Hearts: Covenant is an all-round excellent RPG and I always thoroughly recommend it. It builds on everything from the first game and is great fun, with a cheeky, offbeat sense of humour and a great battle system. As I mentioned, it is a direct sequel to the first game so if possible it is worth playing that first to get the most out of the story.

The third game in the series is largely unrelated to the first two, but I did not not particularly enjoy that. It seemed to miss that "secret ingredient". Still worth a play for series completionists.
