Topic: Triforce Series (Oracle of Seasons / Ages) Would it be cool to have a 3DS sequel?

I'd really like to see a 3D HD mashup of the Oracles games on the 3DS (including the (missing?) third season) in the Link Between Worlds engine.

I was thinking the third Oracle could be the "Oracles of Aeons" and it could draw together, from the mists of time, the many worlds of the various Zelda games, and give link the four swords ability (as is in Minish Cap) but with each phantom link being from a different iteration in the franchise.

Link could get a "Mists of Time" artifact that lets him change between the Links of the various games to exploit their item/skill sets. He could quest for legendary kinstones to fuse with the Links of other Aeons so that he can summon their essence with the Mists of Time and assume their form.

They could call it "The Legend of Zelda Trilogy of Seasons"

Could swear we had a thread about this not too long ago.

The third Oracle game was going to be Secrets, as that was what Faore was the Oracle of.

The Greatest love story ever, Rosie Love (part 33 done)

I'm belligerent, you were warned.

Yeah but that one was about a general remake (and I believe it was locked)...but it's okay because it didn't have my super-cool, Zelda fan-pitch game premise.

Were there details on the design ideas?

I knew there was a third planned, I didn't know how far into the planning they'd got. I should probably run a search.

@Nintenbomba128 I ran a search for that and...this is weird: http://fantendo.wikia.com/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Fire_Prop...

...at time of writing it talks about 2017 in past tense.

Edit:

Okay A bit of a revision done...

Okay, so the "Trilogy of Seasons" is a book the cover of which appears on the Game's title/start screen. When the player starts a new game the book opens and begins to tell a tale that introduces and recap's the Oracles games in very broad terms as an orientation and introduces Link...

At the beginning of the game Link eventually has to consult the "Oracle of Aeons" (which is both a book and the spirit of an entity bound to that book) in a grand library, but while he's there the library is attacked by Ganondorf and the librarian implores him to run as far as he can with the book ("The Oracle of Aeons") in order to keep it out of Ganondorf's hands.

Running with the book faster and faster than he's ever run before Link turns into a wolf and clutching the book in his jaws he runs so fast that he over-runs a waterfall and plunges into the water below...he comes round when a voice gently calls for him to wake up (as is traditional in the series) and that's when he meets the Oracle of Aeons who's calling to him from a page of the open book...

...the book which turns out to be both a story book and a spell-book, proclaims him Link the eternal hero of Aeons and tells link story's of Links from times past and links still to be and how he had used the last of his magic energy to turn link into a wolf to escape Ganandorf.

First link has to visit the Temple of Aeons (which is like the Temple of the Ocean King in Phantom Hourglass, to be visited a floor at a time (the Mists of Time being on the last level)) to find the elemental illuminations to turn the book into an illuminated manuscript which reveals certain spells that have the power of opening rents in the fabric of the universe so that he can travel through them to find the other Links he has to fuse his sacred kinstones with (which he finds the halves of at each corner of the Triforce symbol on the cover of The Oracle of Aeons) , so as to be able to use the Mists of Time (an artifact he finds on the last floor of the Temple of Aeons), to summon and channel the spirits of the other Links he finds to transmogrify into in order to help him complete his quest (using their specific skill/item sets).

The Oracle of Aeons also guides link through the game with directions in the form of a mystical tale, as a kind of in-game walk-through/hint system (this role it takes over from the narrator that's introduced with the opening of "The Trilogy of Seasons" at the beginning of the game (now telling the tale directly to link rather than telling a tale about link).

The phantom Links can appear Four Swords style (as they could in Minish Cap) and the whole "Rule of 3" thing should probably apply...so there should probably only be 3 phantom Links from different games in the series, (with the Link in Trilogy of Seasons representing the Oracles link) into which link can transform using the Mists of Time), plus a Wolf Link to make it up to four (if necessary) and to open up more gameplay options.

The box cover would be three Links with Wolf Link standing in front of them, and Oracles Link behind them casting them into existence with a spell from the Oracle of Aeons, all of them in a heroic pose under the title "The Legend of Zelda The Trilogy of Seasons"

The meta theme of the story is Link having to unify the Zelda timeline/universe to save it from being torn apart...with the origin of his name "Link" being revealed...and how does he achieve this...? Well...that would be a spoiler.

The third game never existed. It was scrapped and the ideas were placed mostly in Ages.
