Looks more like an excuse to spam a youtube vid than an invitation to discuss to me.

I've seen too many forum topics related to this subject. Isn't it best to just accept what's happened to Rare at this point?

It's sad that Rare sucks now. But we must move on. I hate these topics, and I hope this gets locked soon. Rare is gone. Deal with it.

Also how excatly does rare suck now? I would agree that current day rare fails to live up to the nintendo era stuff in most casesx but to say they now suck or have fallen would be incorrect.

All of their games under microsoft with the expection of two (grabbed by the gouhlies and Perfect Dark) have been well recived. Not only that but the current output is probably the most success rare as a company has had thus far.

Not only that but its obvious that Rare has begun working on next gen games from a few job postings and the fact they have been staffing up lately grabbing guys like Craig Duncan and Simon Woodroffe.

It isn't so much it sucks as much as anything on the internet is either the greatest thing or worst thing ever created by man. Apparently.

Rare is basically completely mediocre now. It isn't that they're bad it's that I don't care that they still exist. Which is arguably worse.

I like to complain about what happened to Rare as much as the next guy, but whats the point? Everything is said and done and no amount of forum topics is going to change things.

Rare isn't even the same anymore since most of the guys that had a hand in making them great moved on, so we're just better off remembering Rare for what it was than wishing things were back to the way they were.

I don't see why people want rare back... I never liked a single game made by them except for conker's pocket tales.

The Rare of the past is gone. We have Retro now, so quit your whining and go on with your lives.

Really? Really? We have to have another thread about Rare? Get over it people Rare is now part of MS deal with it and if you can go play some Battletoads or GoldenEye or Banjo on their original systems.

Rare topics should be rare.

Not even remotely close to releasing great games at nearly as close a rate...

Oh the original dev from Rare that made videogaming so magical and awesome are still dev games right now! Yep, that's right. Check out what some of "The real Rare" have in store for us..

Plus! That's not all, one of the main people who worked on Banjo Kazooie (and Tooie) have been doing a campaign, asking who would like to see more vg made with silly characters, wonderful sense of humor, catchy music, etc. He say's "It won't be another Banjo, it shouldn't be Banjo, but it will have that same magic.". Yes please!!!

Oh and this guy, another original Rare dev and Grant Kirkhope are all on board to do a new Rare title. But they need to figure out how their going to do it. Money is their biggest cornerstone of obstacles right now. But they have that same powerful spark of creativity, just waiting to be unleashed!

This is very uplifting and inspiring news to find out about. So in short, The real Rare, is not dead, by a long shot!

Oh and I make my own music, which has always been heavily inspired by the classic vg music in games like the older Rare games, and I sent a tune to Grant Kirkhope and he listened to it and then said "Well done!". How inspiring is that?

Anyway, back to topic, The real Rare will return! Stay tuned, loyal true fans.
