OK, so I can admit, I am a bit of a video game nerd. I like to collect complete copies of NES and SNES games as well as hear about other's collections and collecting experiences. Sometimes though, I am just absolutely blown away like Marty McFly at the prices of some of these classic treasures worthy of even the great Indiana Jones.
I saw the SNES game "Hagane" (Japanese for steel) go for $80 no case one time. The closest I come to owning a rare retro game is probably Megaman 2 or River City Ransom. Maybe Turtles lV? Not sure how rare it is. I picked up that misspelled Revelaitons game today though. That may be rare someday. (hope so,lol.)
Also, congrats on being only a bit of a gaming nerd. I'm a decently big one. There's definitely ones way bigger than me, but still.
@Retro_on_theGo: Yeah I'm trying to keep the video game nerdage at a low level though my wife may say it's a little high. Haha... Looks like a copy of just the cart of Metal Warriors is going for only $90.00-$100.00. Congrats to you on getting the soon to be a hot collector's item Resident Evil Revelaitons. Hopefully you bought two!
To blessed to be stressed.
80's music makes me feel fabulous.
What Would Duane Do? Rynoggery
I have many rare games but I have yet to obtain a disgustingly rare game (sells for thousands). Still, my collection is reasonably large and filled with nice things. In fact I would be willing to bet that I have the largest collection of Nintendo stuff in New York State. That statement might be lofty but so is my collection Anyway, I've seen boxed copies of Earthbound go for around 500 bucks which is pretty up there. Shantae for GBC sells routinely for 200-300 dollars. Then there is the gold version of Nintendo World Championships which I saw sell for....$14,000!!!! I want so desperately to own that game

Unfortunately only had cash for one, barely! XD I know opening it will lower the value, but I paid 40 bucks, I'm playing it. THe game itself is high quality so with the spelling error I'm sure I could get the $43 I paid for it back opened. With all these great games coming out for Nintendo I'll never save up enough for Earthbound. >:[
i bought crono trigger for 40 dollar like new on ebay like 2 months ago i mean if its crono trigger its worth it and i bought final fantasy mistic quest for 15 dollars crono trigger works but the FF game didnt i wouldnt save i was mad but i never played it and its FF game but now i know it sucks but i might buy it agian
Awesome, finally I have a place to talk about half my PS2 collection!
Some of the rarest games I got are:
Growlanser Generations Suikoden V Tales of the Abyss Wild Arms 5 The Shin Megami Tensei series, including Persona 4 and Devil Summoner 2 Skies of Arcadia on the GCN
None of these are $100+ sellers, heck, I didn't even pay more than $40 for most of these, but they were hard to find and great games to play. I'm very proud to own them.
I really want to get my hands on the .hack games, especially GU, but they always go for far too much in good condition. The last entries for instance always go for about $100. It's very annoying, especially since they aren't exactly well recieved games (though they appeal to my tastes at least).

I've spent thousands of dollars on a game before. That's all I'm willing to say about that.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
