Is there device that lets you save after the battery runs out. I got the Mega Memory Card, for backing up save files, but unfortunately some games are already out of save battery. I really want to beat Link's Awakening but I can't back it up because the save battery does not work. Can anyone help me out? I'm looking for a device that lets you save your game, even after the save battery has died.

Another great reason we need these original Pokémon games to be released on the VC!

Not possible. Once the battery malfunctions, it's going to start corrupting the save data. So by the time you try to back it up, the damage will have already been done.

Not quite. The battery actively holds the save-file in memory. Much like your computer's RAM (which holds your system's kernel), once the power is completely cut (powered off), there is nothing to maintain that memory, and so the data fades into nothing (within a fraction of a second).

Sorry, but them's the breaks.

I've seen partial corruption before, though.
One day my Final Fantasy V Super Famicom cart decided to delete my save file, but left two saves from a previous owner intact.

So the only thing I can do is replace the save battery. That would be my last resort. I would do it it's just that I wouldn't want to wreck the game or anything in the process, because I am only 13 so I usually don't have he money to buy a new one, because there are other games and things I want to buy and buying a game I already had would seem like kind of a waste. I sometimes re buy games for nostalgia, because I have either sold them, given them away or lost them, but thats only if I really miss the game. And also all the retro game stores have went out of business, so I am restricted to buying online, and I have to go through all this stuff with my parents with their credit cards, so I usually only buy online when I have a gift card. But I guess now I will have to start buying online now...
