Is there anyone here who actually appreciates the NES Ninja Turtles game? Many people criticize it as being hard, but I enjoy it simply because it's Ninja Turtles.

I do. For it's time it was pretty varied, from basic platform beat 'm up action to top-down action to swimming disabling bombs... Yes, it's quite a challenging game too.
Ta-DA! Another overlooked gem. As far as i know the Game Boy prequel was well-received by fans, the sequel however didn't get the attention it deserved in my opinion...
As for the original :
Graphics so real you'll forget it's only a game!
Advanced playability, highlighted with 360 degrees scrolling!

I really hate to self-promote, but my friend and I have been working on a blog where we review games that fit this exact description. While we have done some games that were successful, our main goal is to focus on games that were primarily overlooked upon their initial release. Check it out if you get the time and let us know what you think. http://timetravelinggamers.blogspot.com/
If I could only pick one, I would probably have to go with either The Lost Vikings for the SNES or Rocket Knight Adventures for the Genesis.
Check out my Classic Video Game blog: The Time Traveling Gamers Currently Playing: Super Metroid,Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, DoReMi Fantasy: Milon's DokiDoki Adventure, Super Mario Sunshine, and Bit.Trip Runner.
The Lost Vikings is underrated? I love that game; it's one of my top personal favorites. I'm currently playing it right now (I'm in the Mechanical Era). I read Corbie's review on his SUPER-NES site prior to having played it, and it gave me a really good impression. Also, I am glad to know that I am not the only person here on NintendoLife that likes Mr. Nutz. I've also read Corbie's review on his SUPER-NES site prior to having played it, and it also gave me a really good impression. SNES Scooby-Doo is underrated, too.
The Lost Viking is more of a lost classic than an underrated game. It was very popular back in its day and was ported to pretty much every system there was.
chibi robo park patrol its one of the best games on the ds its sad they gave it a limited release though. and plus its one of those games you play when you need cheering up
Donald Duck: Quack Attack (Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers, if you will) {EU/NA}. I've only played the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 versions, but mostly the former. It's incredibly short, yes, but it's fun while it lasts. It's also probably the only game I can think of where the percentage could be complete at 112%. Although, the game received mixed reactions.
