The screenshot in question is Arcana. At least, I'm 95% sure that it is...
Some great picks on this list. I really liked seeing Metal Storm (NES), ShadowRun (SNES), and Broken Sword (I'm thinking of the Wii version, assuming the PS one listed is the same game).
@Mickey, @cheetah, @ej - the second shot was from Arcana. I wanted to show the box art, but Wikipedia didn't have it. Best first-person RPG I''ve played yet (er, the only one, so far). I really should play other first-person RPGs. There's Dungeon Master, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Eye of the Beholder, Obitus, and many other first-person RPGs to try out.

Don't forget Wizardry, Shining in the Darkness, Ultima, Phantasy Star, and Shin Megami Tensei. They're all great games, on par or surpassing Arcana.
I'll have to take those into consideration. I've always enjoyed Mickey Mania: The Timeless Adventures of Mickey Mouse. I've only had experience with the PlayStation version [Mickey's Wild Adventure] of the game, which is Europe- and Austraila-only, and I've truly enjoyed it. The music in that version was great, and I liked how it was a bit challenging. Not to mention, that version has voice acting in it (and it came out in '95). I really need to beat Hard mode, as there is this one stage that can only be accessed via Hard mode. It's also fun to search for the other Mickeys in these stages. Willie the Giant (who has appeared in Mickey and the Beanstalk) chases you in the one of the stages in the PlayStation version. Also, not only is Mr. Nutz underrated, imo, but it has a really wonderful soundtrack (which is one of my top favorites from the genre). Here's one of those amazing songs, and my top favorite from the game; it's heavenly (well, 'cause, it takes place in the clouds): [youtube:Rk9vlvCyiO0] Best cloud-related song I've ever heard.

Zelda II is underrated due to its platforming style instead of the adventure style of the other games. Once you figure everything out, it's actually quite fun.
Was Dream Land 3 overshadowed by Super Star? If so, it's a shame.

No, it's just that most people didn't like it. It was slow-paced and easy compared to Super Star with stupid crayon-style graphics. It's not that people didn't pay attention to it, it's just that many who did take notice didn't like what they saw.(and those who played it didn't like what they played either)
Also Kirby's Air Ride wasn't unsuccessful or underrated in the slightest.
Kirby's Dream Land 3 is very underrated, imo. I actually like the unique graphics in that game. I played the game, and I actually like it. Kirby's Air Ride is underrated, too.
Dream Land 3 is more traditional than Super Star. I'm glad I got it instead of waiting for Super Star.
Traditional in a platformer sense or traditional as in more like the other games? If it's the former I could sort of kinda agree, but if it's the latter, considering how incredibly inconsistant the series is, I'd find it hard to say that there even is a traditional Kirby game.
Super Earth Defense Force on the SNES I also found very underrated. Ecco Jr. is so underappreciated. I actually enjoyed that game, even though it's short at between one-two hours.
Thanks, Mickey. Another game I find highly underrated is Congo Bongo. It's a cool arcade game, imo, with a cool isometric [ 3/4 ] perspective. I think it's very fun, even though it can be quite easy once you got the stage patterns down. I'm not gonna lie to you: but I might be one of the few people here that actually enjoyedSpace Harrier II.
