I'm telling you, there's just something creepy, almost satanic and haunting about many of the Genesis chip tunes. It's like some of them descended from the depths of hell. B-) :o

Enter, if you dare! or you might be in for a mega spooky scare. May you be turned into 8-bit ghoulish dust if you betray Rick and his ghoulish Jason Vorahees lookalike Mask and his Trust, muhahahaha B-)

Possibly one of the scariest 16-bit bosses to suprise us during our Childhood Genesis memories, accomponied by disturbing cutscenes with Rick's girl friend 'Jennifer' where it was describing how that evil worm was making it's way through her brain while slowly eating it. :o

And I shall leave you boils & ghouls with one of the SNES's most terriifying and forgotten FrankenClassics muhahahaa MUHAHAHAHA!!! - B-) :p

But wait! We can't forget the one and only 'The Crypt Keeper! What would a Halloween be without this cryptic smelly rotting corpse of a host? B-)

What about the Splatterhouse remake for the PS3/360? It's been getting trash reviews, and the idea of it being a 3D brawler completely turns me off. I've beaten SH for the TurboGrafx....But it looked super blurry on the VC and it lacked the graphical power of the Arcade version. :(....Why Namco didn't release the Arcade version I'll never know. SH2 is an awesome game in it's uuber simplicity, while SH3 is solid in it's own right. Yet I could never beat that one growing up. Sill suprised that it never made it's way to the VC....

There's also that japanese-only Splatterhouse for the NES as seen here. :p

Ahhh, looks like you beat me to it RySkeletor!
I've got Castlevania: Bloodlines 'lined'(hehe) up, whenever it arrives in the mail straight from the depths of gnarlyness that is VideoLand itself. B-)
Untitled

Castle Of Illusion will be next on the FrankeinPlatter, and possibly Friday the 13th on the NES and Castlevania:The Adventure for the GameBoy!....IF it arrives on the 3DS's VC. Bah, i could always snag a copy for cheap on Ebay, but I'm already overloaded with too many unplayed videogames to handle! I also picked up some Universal Monster horror movies classics from the 1930's including Dracula, The Mummy, Frankenstien, Creature from the Black Lagoon ect ect. Those films are essential hor Halloween period! B-)

Anyways, time to get into the Retro Halloween Spirit! :D

I love this thread!
October 1st! The holiday season is officially underway, the leaves are falling off trees (I just LOVE the crunch you hear when you step on a leaf!), ghosts and freaks are roaming the world, costumes, candy, and spooks! Oh how I adore Halloween! This time I'm gong to restart my copy of of Resident Evil 2 and play through it all of October! :P If I finish it before the sacred day I'll be playing some Castlevania for the good old NES!
When it comes to movies I'm going to be follow the Angry Video Game Nerd's Monster Madness every other day this month. It's gonna be fantastic since this year it's going to be the 80's-a-thon! Near the end of the month me and some friends will have a monster movie marathon. Everything from classic Night of the Living Dead to modern day hits like... ... We'll find something!
And this Saturday I'm going to watch The Deadly Mantis. Ah, black&White giant bug horror movies. I love yee so.

Great to see somebody else with the halloween spirit! I'm like a big kid(big suprise!) and i'll always be celebrating these amazing holidays and what have you until i bite the 8-bit dust! B-) Resident evil 2 is easily one of the most meatiest of Evil's. I'll admit, it's definitly one of the sequals i wouldn't want to complete from start to finish anytime soon. :p The same could be said for Code VEronica(worst sequal in the franchise, with 'Zero' laging not too far behind) I've always favored 3: Nemesis over 2, but i think it's safe to say that 1-3 are no doubt thee greatest RE games in the franchise. I love their
grounded George A Romero inspired-ish B Movie horror approach and atmosphere. Especially the haunting PSX original which completely blew me away
when it was first released back on the PSX. You may laugh at the voice acting now, but i didn't even notice how cringe worthy and hilarious it was during it's release. I was just too blippin' amazed that the 3D characters were actually interacting and talking to each other with real voice overs in those beautifuly detailed realistic prerendered environments to even notice! lol

And i totaly need to get on the AVGN's Monster Madness The AVGN overall may have lost his spunk during his amazing & hilarious first year run with classics like TMNT, Friday the 13th and Back to the Future ect ect which i'll never forget!(ahem, AWESOME modern nostalgia!) but hearing Jame's thoughts and his opinions as a person on anything movie or videogame related is just so ridicously interesting. :p

And Speaking of the AVGN, i will leave you with his classic FT13th NES Halloween review. B-) I love it when he goes off the hook combined with the expression on his face towards the end where he says "The music is f****n' worse than life itself!" ect ect haha.

Well I have had a copy of Resident Evil Revelations still sealed waiting for this occasion. So I will be cracking that bad boy open here in a few week (been waiting for this moment since I picked it up) for my spooktacular Halloween current gen run. As for my retro I think it will be time to fire up some Zombie At My Neighbors on the Wii VC and one of my personal favorites Nightmare on Elm Street on the NES.

@Wavesta Alright dude I have achieved a costume for your Halloween Retro Dungeon of Epicness ;) I have fired up the BBQ and supplied 20 kegs of Dragons Breath for this most awesome monster ball. The vampire vixens shall be here soon when night falls and believe me they can suck the blood right out of a mofo for real :)
I would like to request another track from the satanic Genesis chip tune playlist... Chakan the Foreverman... Cheers bro

TransylWaveya: That picture has to much good stuff. What where the monster head balls things called again? I used to have a blue one I remember... I hope that is picture of one corner of your room already dungeonifiedly decked out!

Retro_on_theGhoul_School: Good luck with Resident Evil 2 this month! Like Wave Belmont said it's not one I am itching to play again.

I have yet to play RE 3: Nemesis though I downloaded on my PS3 awhile ago. I should give that shot but I really want to tackle Dracula X for the SNES this season. Plus, I have a couple of Wii games I want to finish before the Wii U comes out. Aaahh!!! Real Monsters there is not enough time!
