Topic: The cover of the final issue of Nintendo Power

I will be on the lookout for it. I can still remember where I was when I saw the first issue in 1988.

That's a nifty cover. I might have to pick up that last issue.

And thus the cycle is complete, a fitting cover to go out with a bang. I never read the magazine, but I knew it meant alot to many gamers at the time. At the age of the internet, I'm happy to see that NP still managed to pull through.

I may have only been a subscriber since '09, but I'm gonna miss Nintendo Power.
It's too bad they couldn't break even with 300 issues.

I hope the subscriber cover is the same as this, if what's pictured is the newsstand version.
Sometimes the subscriber covers aren't as good as of late.

...I haven't gotten it yet...I wonder if they'll publish the letter I sent to them...was never in the Player Pulse before, and I sent them plenty of emails. xD

Mine came today. The subscriber edition has the same cover, and comes with a poster that displays every single Nintendo Power cover (looks like the non subscription versions only) from 1988 to now.

Mine also came with a separate farewell letter from the staff and also explains how subscribers who paid past Dec 2012 will be refunded.

I am not sure but I think while Nintendo was doing the mag they only had one cover type they didnt have a non subscriber/ subscriber cover. Of course I could be wrong cause I only got the subscriber issues back than.

There were a few cover variants over the years but the subscriber editions didn't begin until 2008.

I like how they pay homage to the very first Nintendo Power magazine cover.

I heard it was coming in December 11th. Not sure though, so don't get your hopes on that date.

i manage to find the november issue in a store sealed in that usual clear plastic thingy with the ar cards pack, so for the sake of value it will never be open im hoping i can find the december one in canada because it was not there at shopping drugs mart anymore and i found this one from 7/11

hopfully i can get my hands on the last issue thats probably going to be of most value in the future

I'm getting worried... NP is in Harlan IA, and I'm in the same state (I'm not telling where, heck no!), and I STILL haven't gotten mine... I'm nervous.

I never subscribed to Nintendo Power, which is likely why I was oblivious to many big Nintendo games as a kid. What I do miss, however, is Nickelodeon Magazine. Why can't kids read magazines instead of online?

So I haven't gotten my last issue yet. It's never taken this long. Anyone else in the same boat or should I just call customer service?

Edit: I see that TDH is; should've read through the thread. I'm just afraid that I'll accidentally get a good look at the cover in the process.

I'm also awaiting mine much longer than before. According to Nintendopower.com, subscribers were supposed to get their issue around late November. I usually get mine around the first couple days of the month. I'll give it a few days, then I'll report a missing issue on their website so they can send me a new one.

I well I am also having the same problem with getting my final issue as well. I usally get mine on Tuesdays and rarely on Fridays so I will wait until the end of next week before reporting a missing issue and I kinda need to figure out how to get my refund.

I was surprised to find the final issue on sale yesterday at Walmart, and absolutely love the cover! The included poster was a nice inclusion, it's cool to see every cover throughout the magazine's history.

Darn i was just at the Nintendo World store today in new york. On the 2nd floor they had every issue on display. There also was a book in which you could post your favorite memories of the magazine. It was awesome. I might be able to get it where i live if any nearby store gets it in.
