Topic: The bow in Link's Awakening

How did you get it? Were you a Boy Scout and saved up the 980 rupees? Or were you vengeful and stole the blasted thing?

I stole it. 980 Rupees would probably take me at least half the game to accumulate. I saved after I got killed, so I can return to the shop anytime.

It seems absurd that Nintendo would throw in such a joke. Good thing you can get the bow for free in almost every other game.

I found that, for the most part of the game, I had a full wallet of rupees, so I just bought it because I had nothing else to spend it on. Gaining rupees in this game is just too easy.

Once you have the timing down in the crane game, making rupees is a breeze (although monotonous). I always buy it. (I don't think Marin would go for a villain anyway)

Yeah, the Trendy game is a good money maker. So in the original, I bought it. Since stealing has a purpose in the DX version for a photo (...with the price of a name change), the bow is what I'd steal if I'm after 100% completion.

That's true in most Zelda games, I think.
By the time I get the biggest wallet in Ocarina of Time, I couldn't go broke even if I wanted to.

I bought it, but as my rupees were going down I saved and quit. Had like 600 Rupees for buying arrows and bombs, it didn't count as stealing, and I got a bow for cheaper.

I stole it the first time. Then I regretted it thanks to everhyone calling me THIEF. Last time I played I brought it though. Cant remember how I got all that money, but I dont remember doing any grinding.
