Topic: Tekken 2 for the PS1

Lately I've been playing a lot of the Tekken series for the PS1 and while 3 is my favorite I've been spnding a lot of time on trying to beat Tekken 2 with every character. I found Tekken 2 to be the hardest of the PS1 trilogy when playing on the hardest mode and it's also been a challenge to complete the game with every character. The Tekken games are just fantastic and the original trilogy on the PS1 will always hold a special spot in my hear for a few different reasons,

What do you guys think about the Tekken series on the PS1, specifically Tekken 2? Is the franchise still as beloved as it appeared to be back in the 90's during the PS1 hype? Discuss Tekken 2 and the rest of the original 3 Playstation titles here!

Tekken is good and all but as far as 3D fighters go Virtual Fighter is still king for me.

But when I do play Tekken I always play 3. Speaking of all this makes me want to go back and give Bloody Roar a go again.

For me Tekken2 is the best fighting game ever. So well presented. The quality of the intro made it for me.

The reversals just connected better in Tekken2. Nothing beats anticipating a friend's kick and putting them on the floor.

For me my favorite fighting game series would be Killer Instinct, I played the games years ago and still play it to this day, the only game I haven't played was the new Xbox one game but I played all versions of the old games, just so fun!

This was one of the first games that I ever owned.
2 is still very playable along with the later games in the franchise which makes it very much worth looking for if you don't have it already.

I've basically mastered Bruce, Beak, Michelle & Paul, but I still have problems whenever I take on Jun.

Tekken 2 was very influential but I always preferred Tekken 3.

tekken 2 is the first one that i spend my coins on arcades.. and i just loved it.. that was one of the first 3d fighting game around.. that time i had virtua fighter remix for my pc but tekken 2 was a blast

now, of course not but i didnt have fun playing tekken 6 on ps3.. my favs tekken 4 and 5

but i like tekken 6 on my psp

I don't liked the first Tekken on PS1 but this second episode is one of my favorite fighting. My great brother is so strong with Nina.

Haven't played the first 2, wasn't interested in fighting games during the time... I even button mash to play Street Fighter Alpha 3.

This was one of the first if not the first PS games I played. I remember playing it when Blockbuster had it on display and it was fun wasn't sure what I was doing cause I was use to games like Street Fighter back then. It wasn't till my friend got a PS and a copy of this game that I really got into it. However though as much as I liked Tekken 2 Tekken 3 will always be my favorite. That's probably though cause I spent the most time on that game.

Tekken 1 wasnt popular in Turkey at the time.. but when Tekken 2 came out, it was a blast, everyone was talkin about that.. when i first saw the game, it was like out of this world.. i can never forget Law's grab, he climb his opponents and drop from air.. i still love to do that on newer versions
