I've been on a Star Wars kick lately, for some reason. And that's included going back to the superb Super NES games! The original Super Star Wars is almost 20 years old itself now (boy, a lot of games have been having anniversaries lately). Any others that loved Super Star Wars (I guess if it had come out around the time of Phantom Menace, it would've been called "Super A New Hope", LOL), Super Empire Strikes Back, and Super Return of the Jedi? Especially graphics-wise, I think they were revolutionary for their time. For the early 90s, it was the closest thing to the movies we could've asked for (even if they LOOSELY based, storyline-wise). The first person levels were amazing, especially the Battle of Hoth on SESB, IMO! The music was IMPRESSIVEly close to Williams' score.
One of my video game dreams that I know will never come true is to see the prequels done exactly the same as these games. Same engine, graphics, 16-bit sound, et cetera. We'll never see Super Phantom Menace, Super Attack of the Clones, and Super Revenge of the Sith, but it's nice to dream! We never got to play as Yoda on the SNES games, so imagine how amazing it would be to play him (like the next-to-last battle in Super Revenge of the Sith, with him battling Emperor Palpatine in the senate chambers).
To close things out, I'll just leave this here... Honestly, I didn't make the thread just to post this.
(although I did want to post them at a main SW thread in another forum, but couldn't find one) Even though they're just pixels, I can't believe ultra-conservative Nintendo of this time period that was so squeamish (this was around the time they heavily censored Mortal Kombat) allowed metal bikini slave Leia!!! You can't quite see to Florida here, as Boba Fett could (nudge nudge, Star Wars fans
).

Enough to make you want a current-gen Return of the Jedi game, huh?
BTW, anyone who hasn't played these classics, they're all available on Wii VC.
