I only played a little bit of Kirby 64 on VC, though I haven't played Super Star, I think I can safely say I like Kirby 64 more.

Games To Finish: Arkham City, Nintendo Land, Wario Land: Shake It!, Red Steel 2, Okami, Xenoblade Chronicles, Sticker Star, Dragon Quest IX, Okamiden, Spirit Tracks, Superstar Saga, Kid Icarus 1 & 2, Blaster Master: Enemy Below, Bionic Commando GB, Rayman GBC, Banjo Tooie, Castlevania: SotN.

Kirby Super Star. Had Ultra for DS, such a class game.

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

Kirby 64. But probably because I've played 64 so much more than Superstar (Ultra).

I wasn't expecting to see Kirby 64 in a Kirby match-up, I tend to think of Kirby's Adventure as the game most often compared with Super Star when the topic of "best game in the series" comes up. Popular opinion seems to relegate 64 among the "lesser" entries.

That said, I'm voting 64. I dunno if it's because of the combo powers gimmick, that it was my first Kirby game or what, but I actually had more fun with it than I did Super Star. As far as traditional Kirby goes, I only liked Adventure better.

nah dude, I remember during my brief time at the old official Nintendo forums that everyone LOOOOVES Kirby 64. It was a lot of people's first game in the series and probably one of the first games they ever beat. Also, it has Fridge Kirby.

(Kirby's Adventure is definitively better than both games though)

Kirby Super Star easily. I couldn't believe how much fun I had with this game and I still go back to playing it every now and again.

@kkslider5552000 - I suppose I'm thinking more about how the games have been received "critically", rather than by the fanbase itself. Even though I personally hold a great deal of affection for it, whenever I see a retro (or even a then-current) review, the verdict on 64 seems to be that it's a good, but not great, Kirby that's held in higher esteem than Dream Land 3 but lower than games like Adventure, Super Star and Dream Land 2.

@RevolverLink, I know what you mean. Kirby 64 has been regarded as just an okay Kirby game by a lot of fans and critics. I however, really enjoyed what I've played of it. I was considering making the mashup Kirby Super Star vs. Kirby's Adventure but I changed it at the last minute, since I felt like it might be more fair.

Air Ride's reviews alone invalidate trying to think critical opinions for Kirby games matter in the long run.

Yeah, I never understood the Kirby Air Ride reviews. I love the city trial mode. Hope they make a sequel.
