(This is a question for the experts. And a somewhat silly question.)
I've sunk a lot of time into getting good at the famously challenging SGnG. Time well spent, I think. But now I'm at the point where I can beat Levels 1 thru 7 and the Princess sends me back to do it all over, but to find the Goddess Bracelet along the way.

My question is this: should I try to find it myself, without going online for spoilers? How hard will it be? Will I find it? Will it ruin the game by forcing me to double-jump everywhere in obsessive search? If I find it without hints, how good will it feel?

No direct spoilers please. Thanks for any advice!

Bracelet is worthless weapon sadly, it's nowhere near as good as crossbow. Problem is, it is essential to beat the game, so you have to find it.

But if you want to know without spoilers - prepare to brake few controllers, because it's not easy to get it.

its easy to get. ive always found it by just hitting up random treasure chests. they make it sound like its a simons quest (castlevania 2) type deal, but its not.
you do need it to get the real ending. ill tell you this, that weapon is hard to kill the very last boss with, but needed, as @Dave24 said. ill give you a little hint...having gold armor extends the range of the power bracelet. as you are looking for it, think about that
ps-you owe me 500 points for eshop now.

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

Nothing to really spoil. Chests in Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts follow a certain order, based on which armor you have. So when you gain/lose armor, it resets to the beginning of the order for your current choice.
So, the easiest way to get the bracelet is to find it in level 1 (where its easiest to avoid hits while getting chests) and keep it (which is easier said than done, when you'd have to wait for weapons to de-spawn if needed).

It's easy, beating the 2nd last boss with it is such a pain in the ass though i've only done it a few times because it's just too tedious.

Great game, congrats on even beating it once, i'd suggest you try the mega drive/Genesis Ghouls n' Ghosts next, it's a bit easier and has less features than the SNES one but it's still terrific. If you play the original, which is much harder, i suggest playing the arcade version which is much better in the gameplay and graphics departments. If you still haven't had enough Black Tiger on the arcade is a semi-clone made by Capcom as well, i'm less versed in it but from what i played it was fun.
