Is there any real difference censorship etc.
(Trying to decide if I should get the PAL 3DS version which I believe is 60hz anyway or get the NTSC version for my US Wii).
Think I would rather have it on my 3DS but some of the censorship done around that time was utterly terrible.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

I've heard of games like Castlevania being censored, but why River City Ransom?
God, guns, and guts made America; let's keep all three.

What was changed besides the title?
As to why censorship, supposedly there was a lot more censorship in Europe at the time. Anything with "ninjas" had to be renamed. Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, Ninja Gaiden became Shadow Warriors, the Contra guys were turned into robots.

I don't know. (Think I would prefer the PC Engine version with a literal translation or X68000 with the same). Don't think either is going to happen though.

Cannot be that it was 50hz optimised because the 3DS version runs at 60hz and I really doubt they would bother as opposed to just releasing the US one.
