I'm more interested in the past(Mid to late 80's, with a splash of 90-93') than the crummy future.
...you, my friend, sound like a romanticist... that's when the past is more alluring to you than the future or the present... and when a culture becomes romanticist, it begins to move backwards and problems start happening...

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
Tell me about spending a lot of money on old games, I just bought myself a brand new factory sealed Gameboy Advance Tribal Edition (ultra bright AGS 101 screen) along with these games, of which nearly all are brand new factory sealed and costed me a small fortune. Some are very rare gems.
Metroid Fusion
F-Zero Legends
Wario Land 4
River City Ransom EX
Mario Golf: Advance Tour
Mario Power Tennis
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land
Final Fight One
Dragonball Advanced Adventures
Justice League Heroes: The Flash
Double Dragon Advance
Wingcommander Prophecy
Boxing Fever
DR Mario & The Puzzle League
NES Classics: Metroid
With my 38 years of age I've seen and experienced the original NES and SNES in their prime, but I've missed the Gameboy Advance release cause at the time I was blind to pretty much everything that was not an MMORPG.
This is my catch-up move, I should say I hunted the internet for sealed gems, but never paid more than $60 a game, some copies go $120 and beyond, I am crazy, but not that crazy
Do I feel remorse paying $60 on an old game ? No way, as I have never played these and I have the luxury and pleasure of unpacking these as if it's 2001 again, a luxury I'm personally willing to pay extra. And today's games cost often $60 too and on many occasion offer a fraction of the value and gaming fun of these proven old classics. Though I do not exactly share the same feeling of the OP in terms of guilty towards newer offerings, as I do have an extensive 3DS library of beyond 60 retail games not counting eShop ones.
Life's to short and I'm passionate about gaming ever since childhood.

Nah, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If there's both an old game (switch this out for CD/movie/w.e.) I want and a newer release then I will prioritize the newest release to show my support. If there's no interesting new release then I don't see any foul in digging into the oldies until another good new release comes. Gotta keep preoccupied somehow. Heck, I most of the games I want to play have already been released for years, lot of catching up to do and there's no time like the present.
