man i loved that game! i got it when it first came out i remember it came with a poster and i put it up on my wall cause i thought that fiery sonic head was the coolest thing i had ever seen.

I loved this game. In fact I loved it so much that I eventually figured out a cheap way of winning... every time you KO the AI, their weakness (what they don't block?) toggles between two different special attacks (I think it's groundtype-airtype-groundtype-airtype-etc — been awhile since I played the game so I can't remember exactly how it works).
I'm looking on cheat websites and I'm surprised it's not mentioned.
