I know I've mentioned it before, but I checked the stock trackers sites, and I found both the NES and SNES Classics by simply walking into a store and asking about them and they brought one out to me. The tracker sites were wrong, and they weren't out in view, you just have to ask.

Which sites were you talking about? Because the ones I'm talking about checks the online stores. There are trackers that check local retail stores, but....like you said, they don't work. (I've tried that, said my Target had 3 Switches for a few days, no Switches in sight)

@Joeynator3000 I'm not really sure. istocknow.com I think and there was one other one. I just know neither of the sites said any stores had any available, but then I went in the store, asked, and they had one.

@Xyphon22 Yeah that's one of them that's inaccurate.

This one always tracks the online stores though, it constantly refreshes and all that as well. Just gotta act quickly when they do become available.

I'm starting to truly hate this game now...why even bother playing at this point? T.T

It wouldn't be as bad if that stupid violin didn't spam that sleeping attack all the time. >.<

Also in the past I eventually would get lucky and sneak past them on the last floor, it never happens here. :c

Been awhile since I played Earthbound, but yeah I remember that part and it there was a difficultly spike there. Might have to play that game again after I finish Super Mario RPG.

The weird thing is that I don't have issues on other parts after that...is it from what runs the game? I never had this much trouble on the Wii U.....or PC. lol

In the UK I regularly see stock of the SNES mini on shelves, saw one yesterday when picking up Skyrim

Older than I care to remember but have been gaming since owning a wooden Atari 2600 and played pretty much everything inbetween.

I splurged and treated myself to my xmas gift to myself this year and ordered one off Amazon for 132 bux total. It arrived tonight and OMFG, my heart MELTED. It's so damn cute and way smaller than I thought (i guess i've only seen pictures of people holding it online with tiny hands or something!?)

Now I want the NES mini SO badly but refuse to pay the scalper fees.. I don't feel too bad about paying 130ish, but won't pay the prices for the nes mini right now. Nintendo said they are re-releasing them... is it during the holidays or next year?

Nostalgia really is a powerful drug. When the SNES came out I was the August before starting my freshman year of high school and my grandmother who raised me was the crossing guard outside the high school of 4000 kids and I made a horrible demand that if she didn't buy me a super nintendo or quit her job that I would NOT be going to high school. On holidays she would dress up as Mrs. Santa Claus, the easter Bunny, a giant pumpkin, etc... for me at the time it was crazy embarrassing, although now as an adult I look back and wish I wasn't so insecure and the kids in the high school LOVED her. She used to buy random atari and nes games at the times from the kids for a bux or two each time and surprise me with them. She was laughed at me and told me she wasn't quitting anytime soon and bought me a Super Nintendo (sounds so bratty I know... I grew up kinda poor so it was a big purchase for us) and it was the best gift I ever have gotten at the time. I cherished that system, and still have my original system and most of the games.

I miss her and unboxing this system made me shed a tear tonight.

The SNES Mini is in stock in stores in Sweden, but for some reason it costs a lot more here. I wonder if it's worth the price. I never had a SNES when it came out, so I don't have nostalgia for the games, so I am wondering if the games are good on their own.

Is it worth the price? I've converted the currency for your convenience;
132 Euros
116 England pounds
155 US Dollars
530 Shekels

@Agriculture even without Nostalgia there are some genuinely great games on the system, some of which have never been bettered in their genre. If you like 16 bit games the likes of Zelda, Mario World, Donkey Kong, Metroid and Final Fantasy really are the cream of the crop which even today's games seek to imitate but never really come close. Think of it this way, if these were released today not only would they hold up, they'd also cost around £300 if not more

That's good to hear. So it would be worth 116 pounds then. I am mostly interested in the sidescrolling plattformers like Kirby Super Star, Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country.

@Agriculture you won't find many better then those and Kirby is even a few games in one and whilst DKC is famous for its amazing graphics it's also one of the best pure platform games ever made. If it's platformers you like there is also excellent Super Castlevania and the more hardcore Ghouls & Ghosts and Mega Man X.

Me personally I've used a program which is incredibly easy to add many more SNES/NES games to the system, which if anything made me realise most of the best games were already on there

I just got one of these for Christmas. I'm pretty amazed because I never so much as saw one in a store! I hooked it up today (it was really easy, with the same connections as the Switch) and played a bit of Super Mario World. The emulation is spot on! This is definitely going to occupy me for quite a bit.

I'd love to use an arcade stick with with Contra III and Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts, but I can't get my officially licensed Hori Wii arcade stick working.

Untitled

This is perhaps a long shot, but does anyone happen to have one of these Hori sticks and a 1st run Emio NES Classic stick with the adapter to enable compatibility when it was discovered that it didn't actually work with the NES Classic?

Untitled

I'm wondering if I tracked down one of these adapters and used it with my Hori stick on my SNES Classic, if it would resolve my compatibility issue? I have an Edge joystick for my NES Classic, but it's a V2 with the problem rectified, so I didn't need to contact the company to get the adapter (Or else, I'd just unplug it and see for myself).

I'd hate to find one on Ebay for $10 or $15 after a lot of searching, and not have it actually do what I hoped.
