Anyone familiar with the Nintendo Corrupt-a-Wish Thread? This feels like one of those came true.

Nintendo to Produce More Super NES Classics Than NES Classics, But 2017 Only

Nintendo really seems to have their heart set on reducing any slight chance of overproduction. Why are they so scared of overproduction? And for Star Fox fans' sakes, I sure hope Star Fox 2 sees a release on another platform in the future.

This is the one I really want because although I had a SNES, I didn't have many games for it. The NES Classic only had a few I really wanted, and the same will be true for an inevitable N64 and Gamecube version I'm sure, but there are a lot of games on here I haven't played before. That said, I'm not going to go out of mind getting gone. If I can get lucky like I did with the NES Classic and just ask about it at Walmart and they pull one out from the back, then I'll buy one.

I have a working SNES but I literally only have the super gameboy and starfox to play.

SNES games hold my attention better than NES ones, so I'd definitely play this one regularly. It's got many rpgs, which is good.

I think I've got everything I want on my SNES. Donkey Kong Trilogy, Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Mario Paint, some 8 other platformers. I've got F-Zero and Super Metroid on VC already.

If an N64 Classic comes in the future, I'll be all over that if it has SSB, Paper Mario, Yoshi's Story, Bomberman 64, DK64, Banjo Kazooie, and/or Pokemon Stadium 2. All games I've either heard great things about, or misplaced my copy of. Cuz man, you can get SSB no where cheap.

Why is there no preorder up for North America?

If I remember right, they did say early on that the NES Mini would be a limited run as well.

Anyway, I'll be heading off to EB Games after work to stick a preorder down

Eh. I see no reason for this when I already have a SNES and when I can get SNES games I want to play on my Wii U. No doubt I'd be more interested in it if I were a Star Fox fan, but I don't really see the value in this for the rest of us.

Darn, no Chrono Trigger...wished I could like, trade/swap a few games here. Ah well.

From my perspective, when you've played the DS version, all other versions seem inferior.

...Yeah I guess, then again I like it on the big screen.

Look at the controller ports. Not Wii style.

EDIT2: Website says the Classic and Classic Pro are compatible.

Super Famicom Mini confirmed for October 5th, has some different games like FE3 and Panel de Pon/Tetris Attack.

So how are we going to be able to play with 3 players on Secret of Mana?

Looking at the box art for the European version, it says 20+1 games... why not just 21 games?

I could understand that if they said, "20 classic games + 1 NEW release," or something along those lines. Instead it's just 20+1 games.

Sorry, no "sweat edition" Mortal Kombat in this collection.

Based on the new information, it seems the American one has one little door for each controller, that's actually better, since you don't need to leave the other one exposed when playing by yourself.
