I am going to stripping down my (UK-PAL) Super Nintendo to rehouse it in a custom case. I will be removing the eject button and mechanism and was thinking about removing the reset button along with it.
Does anyone know of any reason to keep the reset button on the console?

You should be fine without it, although if you want to reset a game, turning the power off then on again quickly can delete save data, from what I've heard, so you should be fine, just be a bit more careful than usual.

I don't know why you would remove it, but guess you don't need it although at times it useful.

I think there are a few SNES games where you could cheat and do unintended things with the reset button.
