i was looking at a factory sealed pokemon yellow game .... and i was thinking ?...... even if it sealed and never used before will de batterie inside the game dry out and like... acid come out ? because i mean like every batterie in the world will expire one day?

so everyone who collect sealed games are pretty much sad? or am i wrong? 0.o?

What do you eat for breakfast? Pokemon Eggs !

Yes and no. Although button cell batteries are made to last a very long time, the battery inside a Pokémon Yellow game has probably already died. Since it's not likely that the sealed copies that exist today will be played anymore, that isn't much of a problem. I have never had experience with leaking button cell batteries myself, I know they will last quite some time, but yes, eventually the battery itself will slowly corrode away. Although I doubt it would cause visible damage to the box.

I would if the value on battery sealed games will go down once collectors realize what they're really buying is a nice condition box with original cellophane on it.
It can't TRULY be MINT when the product inside is most likely dead and rotting. So, what's the point?

And how 'bout this one Genesis boxing game that, if you buy it sealed, you apparently get a 20+ year old Fruit Roll-Up inside. I don't know how sanitary that is.

Ha, it's like some sort of video game equivalent of Schrödinger's cat - you can't confirm if it's "truly mint" without opening it, but once you open it, it's not "truly mint"!

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

Ah, the collector's world is a strange one.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
