Halo 3, GTA 3, and God of War still resonate with young kids today! I've seen it myself.

any retro game that's not hard to the point of dying right in the first 10 seconds of gameplay. kids nowadays only want challenge in multiplayer games and only to show off
now that I read this I realized it makes me sound like one of those "in my time things where better" old guy except I think things where far worse when I was a kid, now with digital games you can get classics and non-retail awesome games easily and for a somewhat reasonable price.
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

@Guitardude7: Yeah I know its weird and as I said I dont agree with it. Actually depending on your age retro means something different to each person. Some users around here consider Gamecube retro and I do not. Because of that a few threads got out of hand into what is retro and what isn't, so to stop the argument the mods just say anything not this gen is retro.

I started considering 6th gen consoles retro right when the PS2 got discontinued back in November 2012, but let's not go too far off topic or a moderator will close it.

Some great suggestions, thanks people. Various titles on the list my children have completed Zelda OoT and Banjo-Tooie. Also Mario Kart 64, Mario 64 and Super Smash Brothers have been played a great deal. Acting on the forum's definition of retro they've also played great titles like Donkey Kong Country Returns, both Mario Galaxies and New Super Mario Bros Wii. So they are not doing badly for retro!
