Any of you guys still into some old school PC games?
I've gotten myself back into a game of Civilization 3 that looks like it is going to be a month long event. Also I still enjoy any chance that comes about to play Age of Empires 2, Starcraft, Warcraft 3 or Diablo 2.

The Settlers 2
Heroes of Might and Magic 3
Age of Empires 2
Thief: The Dark Project
Prince of Persia 1
Baldur's Gate 1+2
Black & White
Half-Life
Counterstrike
Unreal Tournament
System Shock
C&C (Generals was the best c&c game)
Anno
SimCity 2000
Battle Realms
Stronghold
I used to play a lot of them a few years back. Ones that immediately come to mind:
10. Ultima
9. Warcraft: Orcs & Humans
8. Quake III
7. Sid Meier's Civilization
6. Starcraft
5. Command & Conquer 2: Tiberian Sun
4. DOOM
3. Diablo 2
2. Master of Orion
1. Princess Maker
That should be my top 10, unless I'm forgetting something important. I'm not even joking about Princess Maker, that game was insanely fun. It was a life sim with multiple conclusions depending on how you raised your "star daughter", and there was also an extensive RPG portion where you could make your daughter an adventurer or a warrior woman...or even Queen of the Underworld! It was great stuff.
At one time AoE2 was an addiction for me I'm pretty sure. Would play it 10-12 hours everyday and on weekends I would sit and play for 30 hours straight sometimes. At one point I was ranked #2 on the US ladders.

I actually couldn't get into Age of Empires. And that was back when I was competant at RTSes. I don't know why, I just couldn't wrap my head around it. I'd get creamed when I'd go up against a computer, who would always be far more advanced than me.
I still play a lot of those, Deus Ex, Xcom, Diablo 2, Starcraft... Whats so great about retro PC games is that mods and stuff always keep those games Alive and giving it new content.

Ever met #1? Would certainly have been interesting to have a conversation between the two best US players in such a popular game.
And yeah, I love retro PC gaming. My username should give that away.
About the only PC games I go back to anymore is Heroes of Might and Magic III, and the City Builder Series by Sierra (Caesar III, Pharaoh, and Emporer).

@KeeperBvK Yeah we had a short conversation once but nothing too exciting. We just discussed how stupid people are that think massing elephants is the way to win games.
@Tasuki I had a few long days of playing Ceasar III. Talking about it wants me to give it a go again.

Does anyone remember that old computer game Descent? That was an original classic. I remember my friend and I would connect our 14.4K modems for multi-player mode. Good times.

I got that game. Coincidentally, it reminds me a bit of that No Man's Sky that was recently announced.
