Vintage Nintendo commercial, back when they ruled the home video game market:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzdyp9L7se8

"Now you're playing with power" ... I wish they had a console that could say that today.
And when was the last time Nintendo had a commercial for the U marketed to kids? I watch Cartoon Network and weekend morning cartoons and I can't recall ever seeing one.

Zelda is the best game series in history.

mid 80's Vintage NES commercials were so cozy, surreal & magical, but the same could be said for most commercials of the mid 80's - early 90's. And yup, Nintendo's always been playing with innovation, but that brute power has been officially handed over to the soulless & predictable poopy twin stick-twins. ;)

And thank goody for youtube, because now i can find all of these amazing commercials and relive part of my shnazzy childhood, one of the few great things to come out of the 2000's.lol Also, i haven't seen ANY Wii U commercials on tv other than that terrible modern hip iCarly cubicle rave party which is going down as one of the worst if not thee' NintenCommercials of all king koopa time. it's just painful...

I do kinda miss the old Nintendo and I don't like where they went with motion control.

Give me a real controller and I am a happy camper.

Marisa- It's so hot, I'm gonna die here.
Reimu- If you die, I'll feed your corpse to the birds.
Remilia- My, it'd be fine if you'd let me take care of that.
Marisa- That's a definite no.

I'm so glad they went the motion control route, the wii has given me so many amazing experiences that the N64 and GCN just couldn't really give me. when motion controls are done right they're flat out amazing. I want a blend of traditional(Sidescrollers for ex) and motion control based games. The Last thing i'd want is yet ANOTHER console using just traditional controls. These aren't the NES & SNES days anymore where we saw a ton of awesome innovative sidescrollers, everything for the most part has gone 3D....

and i hate using a traditional controller for the majority of 3D based titles. The last thing i'd want are the exact same experiences with a new lick of paint, not my idea of evolving when certain genre's NEED to evolve. I've been gaming for around 24 years, and i'm beginning to get tired of it all, at least with analog based(aiming) controls. Once i experienced those amazing pointer controls in metroid prime 3 there was no going back for 1st or 3rd based titles! :p

nintendo's about offering new kinds of experiences(Ok, the NSMB games don't exactly fall in this category). ZombiU imo would stink just using that traditional Pro controller, the Wii U gamepad for example is what makes it so unique, special and innovative. Still, shame on you Ubi for not including pointer controls for aiming as an alternate control scheme, that's the only real huge drawback for the ZombiU.

That's like saying rotten eggs have given you a taste experience that dung and mud could never give you. :P

@Canis
lol. No, no, that's just how you view it. We all know the wii doesn't tickle your wolf-boy fancy. :p
Now if you wanna talk rotten eggs, than i present to you the PS3 and XBOX 360, might as well throw in the N64 while i'm at it. The GCN was actually pretty solid but by that point considering how many consoles i owned prior to it i was getting tired of it all. same old same old, the wii & DS finally changed that.

Tenfold this, motion controls are just about as innovative as controllers, virtual reality is motion controll using your whole body not just your arms flicking something to do what could be done via a button, break it down like that its nothing special in the end so unless VR happens then out the door it goes because games remain the same, motion controlls doesnt change anything about a game to say so otherwise sounds like you never liked games in the first place :P
