I am for sure keeping my eye Double Dragon Neon!
"Double Dragon: Neon is far from a standard retro remake. It’s WayForward’s love letter to the decade that spawned the franchise - the music, the style, and culture of the 80’s pulse through the nucleus of Double Dragon: Neon. But don’t think this is a simple graphical facelift; with our innovative ‘mix tape’ level up system and power-up high-fives, we pushed it to the limit!"
I want to know more about the "mix tape" leveling up system. I hope it includes some rockin' 80's tunes!

To blessed to be stressed.
80's music makes me feel fabulous.
I miss Japanese games, the good stuff... Games that are imaginative, have good and unique gameplay, a great soundtrack, and replay value.

New Super Mario Bros, DKCR, Kid Icarus: Uprising. Punch-Out Wii. Most Excitebike games. The obvious ones.
Metal Gear Solid...I think. Ninja Gaiden. That 3d Shinobi no one remembers. Metroid Prime. The 3d ones.
Granted, I don't think reboot is a word that actually means anything anymore. Like innovation. Or epic.

Our reboot is the most epic innovative game this year. Lots of synergy with the social side of our business.

Oh...My...God. I never thought a sequal to Double D would ever be, and by WayForward? I'm in!
Edit: Sigh* too bad it's for the PS3, would of been an awesome 3DS release!

So New Gaming site Polygon had some quick impressions from Pax East with some new screen shots.
Impressions however seem mixed to the delight of retro fans like Waveboy.

I'm completely against reboots when it involves wiping the slate clean with a franchise, as has been done with Castlevania. I don't see how companies can throw away over 20 years of video game history like that. Can anybody imagine if they did that with Zelda? All the fun of figuring out the timeline down the tubes, and the possibility of turning the series into something that doesn't close to capturing the original's magic (as with Castlevania). The reboot trend in gaming and Hollywood needs to be rebooted itself and GIVEN THE BOOT.
DAT HEART TATTOO!!!!!! I'm tempted to try Neon, but I read a pretty bad review from IGN. Need more info first.

@FluttershyGuy: Did you read the review on Joystiq.com? http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/10/double-dragon-neon-review/ That IGN review was like I was a reading a preview of the OKC Thunder written by a Seattle SuperSonics fan!
