Topic: POLL: Greatest Game Boy game?

Hmm... I could vote for that too, but there's too many good games on the GameBoy. That and Wario Land, Donkey Kong GB, Kirby's Dream Land 2, Dr Mario, Final Fantasy Legend 2, Mario's Picross, and many others... I just can't decide what to vote for!

Here is a top 10 Gameboy game list that is just about right, it doesn't match my personal Top 10 although most of my top 10 are on the list just in the wrong places, but it is near enough spot on as far as general consensus is concerned.

Edit - I just noticed Wario Land is missing so maybe it isn't 100% perfect, i guess they were trying to only mention 1 game from each I.P. on the list

Pokemon Red & Blue definetely!

Pokemon Red/Blue. There was just nothing like it back in the day.

But a very, very, VERY close second would be Link's Awakening. I still think it's the second best Zelda ever made.

Sadly, I don't own any GameBoy games, but I emulated the classics. My vote goes for Link's Awakening, followed closely by Mario Land 2.

With me it's a close tie with Tetris and Pokemon Red/Blue but pokemon is ftw.

Ebay is swimming in copies of that game. And there are also easier, but illegal ways. * cough *

And if you're lucky, Nintendo releases GameBoy classics on the DSi. But then ultimately there's no excuse for you.

Although I massively enjoyed the original Pokémon games, Link's Awakening has long held the spot for my favourite handheld game, if not favourite game ever. Kirby's Dreamland is also a good game, even though I only ever played it on a friends' copy. Tetris was also always fun. Other than that, I never played many original Gameboy games, as the majority of my collection was in colour.

Therefore, my list (in order best-worst):
1. The Legends of Zelda: Link's Awakening
2. Pokémon Red/Blue
3. Tetris
4. Kirby's Dreamland

If you're counting GBC games, Mickey's Racing Adventure took up a lot of my time back in the day. Just thought I'd mention it. =P

I'm going 20 years ago, Mercenary Force. A great shooter game involving 4 players. In fact, I'm dusting off my original game boy and giving it a go now!

Cant vote yet. My copy of Kid Icarus GB hasnt come in yet.

Right now its Super Mario Land in my opinion.

Intriguing, it seems we're diverging on where the goal posts are more than anything else. Subjectively I don't think we are actually in disagreement, objectively however...

1. Link's Awakening

My vote goes to pokemon Gold/silver
I don't know if they play on the original gameboy but i know they playon the pocket so they probably should.

If not then My vote goes to Pokemon yellow followed closely by final fantasy legend 3 and kirby's dreamland 2
