Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum, I was playing Donkey Kong Country on my SNES and I HATED how blurry it looked, it didn't have that "old charm" that I'm used to, it looks dated, and blurry, I was wondering if theres some sort of setting to "polish" the sprites, or if its possible to draw in the missing bits that end up making it blurry, In my eyes they saw something different when they thought up what donkey kongs supposed to look like and then couldent draw it, because of limitations, now that those limitations don't exist, why don't people make 2d games the way they originally wanted? with good resolution, and it looking clear, it's like we completely skipped good looking 2d games. Anyways thanks for reading have a good day

by skipping good 2d games, I mean mainstream games that you can get from gamestop

On the SNES itself? No. There's no way to "polish" the sprites. One option would be getting an HDMI adaptor/mod for the SNES, that might help with clarity.

Other not very official options offer filters to soften the graphics, but these tend to look weird on most games.

Yeah if you are playing on a modern tv then your best bet is to get something like an HD SNES clone like the Super NT Analogue or Gamers Tek 16-Bit HD Entertainment System. If most.of the games you want to play are included on the SNES Mini you could go that route too. You could also mod your SNES for HDMI output but that would cost alot unless you know how to do it.

Other then that if you are using those methods then I hate to say it but it's just you then.

The SNES mini would be a nice quick solution if you don't mind not being able to use your cartridges.
