Topic: PAL vs. NTSC differences in Nintendo games

I’m trying to find information about the differences between specific Nintendo Mario games, regarding the PAL vs. NTSC releases. As you all probably know, many NTSC games were badly (if at all) optimized for the PAL market, resulting in slower gameplay, borders, and other problems, because of the different TV-frame rate and resolution. In some cases the PAL game was partly optimized, e.g. with correct music speed.
I have only managed to find very sporadic information regarding some individual games, for example:
Super Mario Bros: Pal version is optimized in gameplay, but the music is too fast compared to the NTSC counterpart. (Some pages state that this music-problem is fixed in a later PAL-release??)
Super Mario World: Pal version is optimized in gameplay and music (although Mario moves slightly faster), but contains borders.

Do you guys know some dedicated websites with information about these PAL/NTSC differences?

Furthermore I’m unsure about how long these PAL version problems existed. I know that the problems were present on the NES/SNES/N64, but what about GC and Wii? Did some PAL GC and Wii games also run differently compared to the NTSC release, e.g. with slower gameplay and/or borders?

Thanks in advance.

I cannot compare to PAL hardware, but at least in an emulator Super Mario Bros. PAL version does appear to have correct music.
