Hey guys, after looking around the net a little bit, I found out that Nintendo ran a constantly self-updating website for the original animal crossing, starting around september of '02. It really is a fun reminder of the early 2000's, and the site actually ran through its rotation of changes (its set up like a newspaper, with issues with varying content about the game) up to around issue 515. Just thought I would share it with you guys!

Actually, I recently remembered clicking around this site with all of this AC hype lately. I am fearful to think about how many hours of my life were devoured by the GameCube installment.

I'd completely forgotten about that site until just now; it was a charming and helpful little corner of the internet, from what I remember.

And while we're still on the subject of the the GameCube game, does anyone else remember the series of "Real World"-style commercials for it?

I named my character Rob because of those commercials, but then changed it to my real name in the other games.

I liked to rev up those fryers, I play games, I can't draw good, but I make stick figures named Sheldon and Mr. Randoms.
