Hi. The reason why I'm writing here is an old sega arcade game i played in a hotel in italy many years ago. I think it was the age of super nintendo. the game was about two birds (red and blue) who looked like woody woodpecker. It was somekind of sidescrolling shooter. The sidescrolling was similar to turtles 2 on the NES, or like street gangs. While you was shooting at enemies with guns and machine guns etc, you could collect different kinds of weapons and so on. At the end of every stage was a boss which had to be beaten in a certain way. The first boss was fire which you had to kill with waterguns. The second one was some kind of living rock and had to be killed with granades or rockets.
I've already clicked through tons of retro arcade games but couldn't find this one
Maybe somebody can help me here.

Thanks for reading so far.

I have no clue what it might be. Have you tried klov.com? You can sort by publisher and developer, and it might be your best bet.

The only birds that come to mind when thinking about Sega are "Flicky" or even "Kolibri" (but that was on the 32X).
