I actually think it was a good idea. I mean, it had online. You could play people online, get on the internet, play game demos, listen to music, and more! Having this now is child's play, but in the fith generation? That's amazing! I bet it sure beat the Gamecubes' online.

The 64DD is up there with the Panasonic Q, as my two most desired products. I plan to track a DD down at some point in the future, just for F-Zero X. F-Zero GX is racing perfection in my eyes, and whilst they gave you the ability to build your own cars, they didn't add the random track generator (from F-Zero X) and the ability to design your own tracks (from F-Zero X Expansion), which annoyed me greatly at the time. One day, it shall be mine, one day...
Double Dash and 1080 were the only ones I played online, but there is more. Hail to the warp-pipe!

You could also play Kirby Air Ride online. Same with the Phantasy Star Online games and this other game that was released only in Japan.
